miles on truck when picked up

Dealers have to do a PDI, Pre-delivery inspection, on all new vehicles. They have to take them out of transport mode, and then road test them, to make sure everything is working, like the Cruise, brakes, how they drive at highway speeds, and any safety device that was put on it. So, they should get around 5 plus miles on them. Warranty is not on a vehicle that hasn't had the PDI done. So, if it only was 2-3 miles. The dealer didn't do there job correctly. A typical new vehicle should have 10-15 miles on it when you buy it, if no one else has test driven it.

Mine had 12 miles on it.

I ordered mine and it showed up on dealer lot with 3 miles on it. I test drove it for just 6 miles and when I picked it up two days later it only had the 9 total miles.

You may very well be wrong disagreeing with @jellis4148 .

I do believe PDI on a JL, if done per FCA policy, requires 6 miles be driven when the Tech doing the PDI does the PDI.

Of course, whether the Tech does as FCA warrants is neither here nor there.

In the past, at least two Techs that frequent this forum, have stated what I am saying about the 6 miles..

Also: Ship Mode has to be turned off also as @jellis4148 mentioned....

Mine had 3 miles on it when I arrived at the dealership and took it on a test drive. I put another 9 miles on it during the test drive. so it had a total of 12 miles when I signed for it.
