Behold: The pinnacle of off-road performance and smooth ride quality in an affordable package has arrived with Rough Country’s 2.5 Vertex 8-Stage Adjustable Reservoir Shocks. These high-performance reservoir shocks offer an elite ride-quality in every situation you face, with an 8-stage adjustable damping system that lets you perfectly dial-in your ride for whatever lies ahead. Whether you want a smooth ride for city streets or the ultimate damping for off-road mayhem, a quick spin of the dial lets you adjust each shock to the exact performance specifications you desire.

Rough Country’s Nitrogen-charged Vertex Shocks feature a monotube design with an external reservoir for increased oil capacity and damping sensitivity. This shock is designed to be a true eye-catcher, with a beautiful silver finish, laser-etched RC logo, matching "Vertex" decals, and CNC-machined Billet Aluminum accents. Curious to see how these stack up against the Falcon 3.3 shocks since they are slightly more expensive than Falcon's.

The Falcons are $1599.99 free shipping which is the same as the Vertex we sell (looking at Teraflex site) I would also like to see a side by side comparison by a non biased person. Ours has a slightly larger body and the rod is 3mm larger also. The Vertex has been a great addition to the RC line and we will have monotube shocks coming soon also.

Great looking shock no doubt. The extended length however.... Is it the same for front and rear?

Really looking forward to someone running them to compare. So good to see more options in shocks - thanks for that.

The front and rear measurements are close. For a 3.5-4.5in shock the fronts are 26.5 - 16.1 and the rear are 26.9-17.1

These look great, love the resovoir mounts and 3 year warranty :like:. How would these compare to the factory shocks at the softest setting?

They are much better ride than stock. Softest setting is more plush on the chattery high-speed stuff, but still better on the low speed for bottoming resistance. Rebound is a dramatic/huge improvement over stock. Makes you feel like you can blast through the nasty at much higher speed, the rig is so much more stable.

Question for Rough Country:
I notice in your pics that the rear shock has the nitrogen service port on the bottom, but the clicker adjustment is on the top. Why the difference? Mine have the clicker adjustment on the bottom (like the pics of your shocks not installed), which makes it hard to see what setting it is on without getting under the corner of the Jeep.

... slow reply.. they moved the reservoir and it now is also mounted on the shock body like the rear.
If you droop hard (like using their 12" travel shock) the tire may catch the shock.. fixed with wider axles.. but.. YMMV
