I've had 3 different hard tops on 3 different Wranglers, and every single one of them leak water on the inside of the rear glass. There's a lot of threads on this. It's considered normal. If you've got water literally streaming into the rear that's a different ballgame. But if you're talking about just finding water on the inside of the rear glass, good luck because that's just the way it is. The design of the rear glass doesn't apply much compression to the weather seal and blocking 100% of water is impossible.

My JL Rubicon is leaking in the same place. I have an appointment on 1/9. Dealer said, "Leak team" needs 2 week notice when I made the appointment!

My 2019 JLUR has the same leaking issue in the back tailgate. During soaking rains it drips down from the top window on the inside. I had to remove the rear headliner to install Sound Assassin strips a couple days after a rainy day and water poured out of the headliner.

I'm having the same issue..water is leaking down the inside of the rear glass when it rains. I have an appointment next week for the dealer to replace the seals around the window but we looked at it together and they look fine. I'm reading different opinions on this. Its not terrible I get 3-4 water runs in the same place every time it rains. The pressure of opening the door makes sense. Has anybody been able to solve the problem or should I just get over it and move on?

I had one drip come down the inside back window and was like wtf is that? Was during a heavy rain. I cleaned the gasket with a wet rag then used a silicone gasket spray after on it a couple times. Did the whole jeep actually, i do it once or twice a year on all my cars. After that i have not noticed anything.

Post what the outcome is... mine goes in next week
They ran water over it for 6 hours with their warranty claim rain maker....

Unsuccessful at reproducing the complaint.

6 storms, 4 water intrusions, other than at the dealership.

It probably depends on the wind.
I bet when the canvas one-touch flexs, the seal can be broken by the air pressure change in cabin.

They just run water on it, no pressure change.

It's been through the touch free high pressure car wash 3 times- no leak that I found, either.

Still there, I asked them to check under additional conditions.

I have been stalking this issue on here for some while. I guess I will say that I don't think this is getting fixed.

I have had my to the dealer twice now and nothing has come of it. Both times I have taken they have found the leak and sent it home to me with it "fixed". The first time they found it they replaced the seal. The second time they told me they put seal sealer on it (sounds like a muffler bearing). Now this will be the third time.

When I talked to the salesman at the dealer before I bought it I asked how the top does in the rain and if they ever had any problem with leaks. He balked at me and said jeep has been making these things since the 40's I think they have figured out how to make them.

It's pretty sad that you pay $45k for a vehicle that comes with a warranty that doesn't mean anything. Especially after asking about the particular issue and then getting laughed. Then not fixing the issue. For me, I plan on letting everyone know anywhere I get the chance.

I'll let everyone know how the 3rd time dealer experience goes.
