I would recommend sending your build sheet to Anthony also. He really was/has been a pleasure to work with.

We are selling a TDI back to VW because of the diesel emmisions issues, and Sam Lehman agreed to provide a loaner vehicle if the VW buy back/JL delivery timing is off. So far, I’ve been very happy my experience.
RE: the VW buyback, we're doing the same ... but no loaner offer from my dealer - nice!

Dumb question here, but oh well... can anyone tell me the purpose/function of this option on the Sport S: "Anti–Spin Differential Rear Axle." Is this beneficial only for off-roading, or would it be good to have even for pavement drivers?

Do you know what kind of dealer fee they run?

Just another way of saying that it has a limited slip rear diff.

ordering a JL Sport
This Sport S arrived at Westbury Jeep (Long Island, NY) just last night. I swung by near closing time to see if there was any chance a JL was on the floor...... The reps told me it arrived only a couple of hours before I did. Plan on heading back for a test drive when there is more time.

This is pretty much the exact configuration I’m looking into getting, down to the wheels and A/T tires. Thanks for the post!

Anybody has taken delivery of a Sahara with standard rims ? Or has any great quality pictures of em ?
I’d like to know if the Bridgestone Dueler that come with are winter approved, as in having the « snowflake logo » on it.
Cause if so I’ll keep em, if not I might just buy some KO2s and sell the standard tires.
Thanks !

Nice looking Jeep. If Sting-Gray doesn't materialize that is what I will be going with just with soft top and manual.

Dealer fee was $172.
That is awesome and matches the other fee I got quoted in Arkansas. The place in Arkansas quoted me a bit lower than 6% but if it is close enough I would prefer to save the drive and buy local.

Thanks for the info.

Drove a Sahara yesterday at David Ellis Jeep in Glendale, CA. It was white w/ a black hardtop. They also had quite a few Sports -which looks really nice in person, big improvement over the JK Sport- and a few Rubicons, one of which was grey and had brought in no shortage of foot traffic. This particular Rubi had almost every option on it, including the black painted wheel upgrade, which looks pretty nice in person. So I wasn't terribly impressed by how it drove. The auto journos made it sound like a leaps and bounds improvement over the JK, and while it was better I'd say it's an improvement but not a drastic change. Still feels pretty "Jeepy" in that sense. Acceleration was pretty nice with the new 8 speed. Now for the reality check: This thing is seriously cramped, even more so than the JK. I had to hold my leg up just to drive it and that was -obviously- anything but comfortable. Steering colum was all the way up and out, and the seat all the back and down. If you're tall in the legs -like around a 36" inseam- you're not going to be happy, at all. Individuals with longer extremities were clearly excluded in the profile for the target buyer of the JL. Thanks Jeep for your consideration of taller individuals! So in sum, a better Wrangler for current Wrangler customers and enthusiasts, as long as you're not of the tall variety.

Nice cadet rob! I’m in LI and have been trying to see who’s taken delivery so far. I think this is the first. Did you talk #’s with them at all?

I thought I would go look at a JL since I have one on order and have never seen one.

Good luck finding one in Florida.

Most won't be on lots till mid February.

Still waiting.....
