Bought my JLU Sport S Thursday night at Arlington Jeep in Jax. It was the first one that they received and we got it off the showroom floor. Both my wife and I fell in love with it as soon as we sat in it. Kudo’s to the dealership owner, Tommy Ulman for making sure I got a great deal and adding running boards and trailer hitch next week. Traded my 2013 JKU. The JL is superior is so many ways. Acceleration is awesome, legroom is so much better both front and back (I’m 6’3”), angle of the backseat is so much more comfortable. Heater blows really hot and auto air is a dream when you are always hot and your wife is freezing. Rear vents are great for your backseat passengers. CarPlay and whole touchscreen interface is awesome. Standard audio is way better than the upgraded system in our JK.
Drove 353 miles to Miami last night. This is not my old Jeep, so much more comfortable and was getting 24 mpg at highway speed and it has a strut to hold open the door...wow. I did confirm in the manual that it can be flat towed behind my motorhome and am looking for a aftermarket winch bumper that I can install to hook to my tow bar. (Please someone make one with the roadmaster attachments built in for all of us RVers) Can’t wait to get it off road and have some fun!

Optional wheels always make a Jeep more distinctive.

I like how the optional granite wheels look on a white Jeep. Do you plan on keeping those factory rims on, or will you be switching those out with some aftermarket rims? I'm still trying to decide how much I like the rims myself. I have a feeling they'd look a little better with some slightly bigger tires.

Those wheels are to the Sport S as these wheels are to the Rubicon.

When you say optional, do you mean the optional/upgraded factory wheels? Or do you mean after market rims?

The one thing aesthetically that I'm really going to be picky about are rims and tires. I really don't want to get aftermarket rims, because I've never personally liked the aftermarket look. But I wouldn't mind getting tires aftermarket. The Sport S tires are just slightly too small for my liking. Yet I think the 33-inch Rubicon tires are slightly bigger than what I'd like. It might sound insignificant, but I might want to get 32-inch tires (on a Sport S, of course) -- the happy medium for me between the Sport S 31s and the Rubi 33s. I think that one inch and extra width would make a significant difference in appearance. The JK Rubicon has 32s (255/75/17, I believe), and I think that size looks great -- not too big, not too small, IMO.

Let’s just say you won’t see too many of these in your area, let alone Rubicons give the Sahara and Sport sales.

Agree with you 32s are ideal...

Picked mine up from Koon’s this morning. Short 2.5 hour drive down and back was easy to bribe my nephew to drive down with me and made process quick and easy.

I started another thread to confirm Koons deal is legit, no strings attached and no surprises. I was in and out in less than an hour and a very easy deal.

Few pics below. Other than the wheels this is basically the same as @Dynomite1371 so won’t post a lot of pics unless something specific someone wants to see.

Thanks @JAY and @JLWF Dealer Guy for your help and tracking. Made the painful wait fun and always looked forward to checking the status updates. I only checked for updates 10-15 times per day.

One word...AWESOME.

Live about 15 mins from that dealership, think I’ll stop by there tomorrow.

Thanks again to Craig and Koons.

To mean, wheels make a vehicle. You can have a basic vehicle with standard wheels, but special wheels make the vehicle.

ENJOY!

Your Jeep looks great! And happy to hear the Koons experience was a great one. I wouldn't rule out going through Koons and driving up from Charlotte, even though it's a decent drive for me.

Congrats on the new ride. Looks great. Did you get the premium cloth seats?
Thank you...They are the black cloth seats and seem much more heavy duty than the ones in my JK. They also have zippers on both sides which must allow you to take the covers off and clean them. The drivers side has lumber support which I did not expect. Everyone has said how much more comfortable the front and back seats feel.

I thought the granite wheels looked good with the white body. The dealer had ordered it with them and I’m glad he did. ($895 option). I do plan to keep them and when it’s time to replace tires then go bigger. That’s what I did with my JK and they looked really good. The JL came with the Goodyear 245/75R17 Kevlar tires. They look good and had minimal road noise.

Just wanted to add a couple photos. I got the 315/70r17 Cooper ST MAXX put on today. Everything fit great. No rubbing so far - haven't disconnected. Should work fine until the mopar lift gets delivered in a few weeks. So far after 1 week I'm completely thrilled with this Jeep.
