Ah yeah, the Wait time is often the most fear mongered part I guess. Often times I hear the same complaints with the VA.

Yes.

The wait times are specific to issues and urgency.

Knee replacements are a problem. But if you need treatment for a life threatening issue, things happen pretty fast.

I injured my knee on March 13 and had the surgery on April 23. I delayed it a week from when it was first scheduled because of life-timing, and it was delayed that long because we had to wait for the swelling to subside.

The issues with wait times are generalized unfairly.

Real Estate, and Vehicles... nothing is paid on Grandma's China set. Except for maybe an inheritance tax but I'm not sure.

I can attest that at least where we live in Florida, the VA isn’t great. If dad wants to ask his healthcare provider a question, he leaves a message and they have 48 hours to respond. It’s taken over a week at times for them to get back to him.

Was your last JK a 2018 as well? Or Veronica?

Nope. I traded the 2017 JK for the 2018 JLU, and then traded that for Wrikki. Veronica was bought in 11/17, but she is also 2018.

Ugh, yes that's the frustrating part. It took me quite a while to get a regular Primary Care Doctor. Getting a message to him is hit or miss also. Once the referrals were in, my Chiropractic appointments and Mental Health appointments are going smoothly.

It appears I have been lucky so far. But as I said before, I am prepared to go to Novant Health if I need to. My TriCare will cover it (minus deductible)

BTW, I have to have a regular Dental Insurance plan... thats not covered unless I have a 100% disability rating.

To be honest I just never even checked into VA stuff. When I started working for IBM, the benefits were so awesome that I never needed to give it a thought. I think in the krap years that followed I should have checked on it. I'm not even sure what's available locally to me. The main VA stuff is several hours away downstate.
