What side steps / rock rails to add to JL Wrangler?

Yes, I'm fairly tall and don't really need the steps to get into my Jeep. I was looking for a dedicated rock slider. We have four younger boys, and while my wife couldn't live without them on her JL I am able to lift them into my Jeep without the need for a step(At least for the next couple of years).

There are the new body mounted sliders with removable steps from R3 that will be available very soon
They will be available in stainless steel ( shown ) and carbon steel

As far as the wheels... I assume you have them also, did you have any issues with the bead lock ring being to big? I had to machine 1/4” off the OD to get them to fit inside the rim protector of my nittos.

I didn't have any issues with my Maxxis Razr MTs. I love the wheels, but after my first offroad trip and finding out what replacement rings run(Only available raw, not in the candy red finish) I have somewhat regretted my decision since matching the finish will be very difficult.

Nice. How about a bolt-on or clamp-on step that fits the stock Rubi rock slider that can be removed for the trail?

I got my Westin Triple Tube side steps installed this past weekend. I'm pretty happy with them so far. No Noise, install took about 30-45 minutes. They mount to frame, etc. Very good and sturdy. Posted about it on my BLOG: http://www.myjlproject.com/blog/westin-triple-tube-side-step-install/

Update just got and installed my rock hard 4x4 rock rails angle up.
Took awhile to get up to Canada but worth the weight. Quality is awesome welds are strong steel is thick. Mounting to the body mounts is great no issues and solid. The powdercoat looks great it’s like a eggshell texture black looks wicked.

I had the Roam running boards installed a while back, and always wondered how they'd stack up to damage. Well last night I was T-boned, I have very minor dents on my roam board, no other damage to my Jeep. The Honda Accord that hit me needs a new front end, it's not destroyed but has a very clear line all the way across where the board just punished it. I'm absolutely astounded how little they were damaged, I mean I don't even feel the need to replace the one that was hit. Fortunately, she was only going about 10 MPH when she hit me.

Just to close the loop. The top of the ace sliders is about 18-1/2” off the ground. The standard step in sill height is about 25-1/2’” @LLRubylady
