I’m interested. I ordered the Mopar auxiliary light brackets for the standard Rubicon bumper (plastic), but they won’t be available until after July 1.
Well I unexpectedly received my Mopar light brackets for the stock plastic bumper. I ordered them on May 25 and they were delivered on December 12. I had completely forgotten about them.
I’ve made some significant modifications to previous Jeeps throughout my life including lifts, axle work, gears, etc. However, these instructions look remarkably complicated for two metal brackets with four bolts, including the use of nutserts (ugh), but we’ll see how it goes. I may end up welding them and call it a day.
I was originally going to go the classic route and get a set of round LED KC Daylighters or Pro Series, but I’m leaning towards a 20” or 30” light bar instead.
I’ll keep this thread going with pics when this actually happens - probably not until after Christmas.
Yeah the light brackets are a very simple design. I looked through the instructions carefully today and it’s not that complicated, just very detailed instructions.
@RenegadeJeeper Your setup looks great and the brackets perform the same function. Do you have a photo of the full Jeep from the front to get a better look at how it looks?
I installed the Mopar light tabs on my JL a few weeks ago and ordered some KC Pro Sport Wide 40s to mount on the tabs this weekend. I'll post photos of the KCs once they're on, but here are a few photos of the light tabs installed. Took about 30 minutes total. Very easy install.
I saw the Diode Dynamics light bracket, but I like the simple Mopar bracket more. The Mopar brackets are very strong and don't have any play once mounted. There are two mounting points for each bracket and there is zero vibration. Also, the distance between the mounting holes on the Mopar brackets is exactly 23 3/16" which is exactly the mounting distance for a Rigid 20" LED light bar. I don't care for light bars, so I chose to mount round LEDs, but just thought I'd through that out there.
