Im still having issues with the LED taillights. My Tazer displays weird things in the menu (juxtaposing letters etc). And I was wondering if that was normal? I’ve posted a picture to further explain.

Yes it’s perfectly normal, what you are seeing is bleed thru from the screen you are on when accessing the Tazer menu, it’s not like the Flashcal unit as it’s a handheld where the screen is separate

Here is a vid I did awhile back showing bleed thru, if you turn music off or go to like a USB source it’s not,as noticeable

Thank you. Now all I have to do is figure out why my LED lights throw the light out warning after being set to rear LED: yes.

What version of Tazer software are you running, some LED bulbs will require resistors but I believe DD bulls don’t as others have reported not using them and just setting the Tazer to LED and they are not getting hyper flash or bulb out warnings

I updated to the Beta version hoping it would fix my issues. I'm going to order new bulbs and maybe that's the issue. Otherwise I guess we're sticking with the dim stock incandescent bulbs. I know that red LEDs take less power, so maybe it is the bulbs.

I believe others have ordered from Diode Dynamics and I read that they just used there Tazer to set the LED option and did not install resistors and had no issues so maybe someone that has done this can chime in and post there results

.. and @ar15rifle

Just installed DD's HP24 switchbacks. I did set the LED Turn: YES. It took awhile for the bulb out warning to go away. I think the trick is to do a full reboot, then open and close the door, then wait for the computer to sleep, then you're good.

Thank you for the input. I think I'm going to have to just change brands of lights and go with DD instead of the Amazon ones.

Did you ever figure out the bulb out error? I just installed all new led bulbs all the way around and have 4 bulb out warnings even after I set the type to LED in Tazer.

Sorry for the late reply, I’ve been out of the loop for a couple weeks.

I’ve not been able to figure it out yet. I will eventually get different bulbs and try again hoping it’s the actual bulbs I received that are the issue.
