Is there any particular reason the aluminum one uses the factory receiver and the steel one integrates it into the bumper itself in a higher position?

Nice, I'll probably get the aluminum to match my Patriot front

Above the rear crossmember for ease of install.

Can't make a tow rated aluminum receiver/bumper. Next natural question is just use a steel receiver and an aluminum bumper, but steel can't be welded to aluminum.
