Picked up my new JLU Sport S about a week ago.

Packages:
- Tech group
- Anti Spin diff
- Convenience group (didn't really want it, but that's all they had on the lot...would have much preferred tow group)
- Black hardtop

Figured I'd start a build thread just to document the process. This is my DD, so plan is to do a few minor mods, nothing too major.

- Rubicon wheels and tires
- Black out the badges and remove sport decals
- Antenna swap
- Cut out the sport euro bumper thing
- Roof rack (not sure which one yet)
- Internal surf rack of some sort ( I had a nice setup inside my Disco II..hoping I can find a way to make it work in the JL)
- Possibly paint the hardtop
- Try to get my hands on color matched fenders if I can
- OEM steel front bumper of some after market front bumper
- Maaaaayyyyybe a budget boost. We'll see.
- Oh yeah, a hitch and maybe

Blacked out Jeep emblems and removed Sport decal

I ended up plastidipping the emblems - I think this is temporary though. I don't love the look/feel of the rubbery plastidip. I think I will debadge and replace with OEM black emblems from allmoparparts

Last night I picked up a set of Rubi take off wheels and tires for $1200. Can't wait to get them on...I just need to figure out the sensor since the new wheels don't have them. I made a separate thread about that if anyone is interested.

Cut out the Euro bumper. I had planned to take them off, trim them, then put them back on, but opted to cut them out with a sharp utility knife instead. It was much easier, and took 10 minutes. Looks so much better!!

New wheels and tires are on! I opted to swap the stock rubicon wheel for new black 17x9 wheels I picked up on black friday at a steal of a deal..man I love the black against the granite crystal!

Now to tint the front, get some side steps and decide on the right roof rack.
