I did start the bumper install today, but my back is so bad right now, I only lasted about 20 minutes. Hope to get the stock bumper off and the new bumper on tomorrow.

Getting old sucks, but I guess it beats the alternative.

I hear you. I had spinal fusion of L4-S1, 5 months ago and I'm not that old. In all honesty im glad I did it now, for me 90% of the pain is gone and quality of life is waaaaay better. Anyway, I hope things get better my friend, I know the path you walk.

I sold my 2008 JKUR for a 2012 sport 2 door bare bones jeep for exactly the same reason. Combat trauma takes a major toll on the body. I have set mine up for day trips and typically will camp one night and get a hotel the next night due to back pain. I have been saving up and waiting on the new diesel but am getting a little tired of having no time table.
here is my current baby. Now that I moved to Cheyenne at 6000ft and spend lots of time in the surrounding mountains at 10k plus feet I need to regear but dont want to invest in the 2012 if I can get a diesel any time soon.
looks like your jeep is turning out to be my jeep's hot younger sister.

Good looking Jeep. I don't have a reason for my bad back like yours, and thank you for your service. In my case it's old age and arthritis coupled with an injury years and years ago from moving a 41 Ford Coupe.
