Just an informal survey. Who has already or is planning on getting rid of their new JL or cancelling their order because of all the quality issues? There are quite a few on Autotrader already, mostly with a few hundered to a few thousand miles. I got rid of my JLUS at 2000 miles, mostly because of the steering and the welds and no resolution in site.
Traded mine in on a 18 JKUR.. Happy!

So because you were stupid enough to buy a virgin model you are dick enough to to pass your problems off on someone else?

Just found out today that my JK has appreciated 20 % from $25K to $30K in 2 years on used car market . Flawless JKs are in demand , bro . Similar to used FJ Cruisers . JKs are in demand and are not taking a hit on depreciation from what I've seen .
Yes, but you arent going to get what you paid a couple months later, otherwise anyone with brains will just buy a new one! I agree that the vehicles hold their value, but selling right away cant be good for the wallet. Better than if you drove a mustang off the lot and sold right away, but still...

SERIOUSLY .........You know what you can do with your "informal survey"... Suggest you move on. You sold your JLU and now want to come here and troll.. Move on AH.

As for me I am very pleased with my 2dr. JL. IF there is an issue with it in the future, FCA will address said issue.
Sure glad i read this thread to know that i shouldn't LOVE my JL. On second thought, I will just say i couldnt be more happy. If there are issues they will get taken care of like any car. If you buy first year, don't expect perfection.

Bought a new 2018 JLU Sahara in June, had major steering issues with it, steering problem completely resolved in July, I'm having a lot of fun with it now and am definitely keeping it.
What were the major steering issues you experienced?

Got a thousand miles on mine and I love it. With the nineteen's coming out in a few months you're going to lose money on it selling at 18 right now

We are quite pleased with ours. 2200 miles and a few mild backroad trips in the hills, a trip up to Denver hauling a closed cargo trailer, no issues whatsoever. I've crawled around under it looking at welds and so on but have eyeballed nothing out of the ordinary. Wife absolutely loves the thing. She lets me drive it once in awhile.

We don't even mind ESS. There's that little button thingie that turns it off, doncher know.

Keeping my JLUS as I must have bought a good one...so far good .

Mines going back in shop for 3rd time. Issues with Electronic Stability Control, changed vacuum pump and both hoses. Now their changing the ABS module out thinking it will fix the problem. For some reason after a 30min drive the light comes on but will not save in messages once the power is recycled. An ongoing issue that I hope to get resolved with only 1200 miles on it. My 3rd jeep and don't plan on getting rid of. Just want it fixed,.

@Motomom You got options girl! Don't let these folks, that you've been dealing with, make you think you don't have any...
They don’t just offer you a new one and this was the service advisor who made that comment! It has to follow certain guidelines before you can get a replacement, I wish it were easy but it is not! All I can do is wait and see if they can fix right now which I have no faith in them but we will see!

Then get a refund and forget about swap out . They told you it is a lemon .
I will get a refund if it comes to that but it is not as easy as people think and it was merely a service advisor who stated it was a lemon and he does not make any decisions on getting me a new one or a refund! It has gone way higher than that and it has to be at dealership for a certain amount of time before arbitration can even begin. It is complicated! I am not letting anyone there off any hooks but like I said there are guidelines for replacements or refunds.
