Here they are on a Black Sport. I love the Rubi Rims with the Black.

Not sure you are using the correct dimensions. Yes, they still fit with no problems, but the JL Rubicon comes with 285/70/17. They are a full 2" taller than the stock Sport 245/75/17. (are you thinking of the JK Rubicon tires? I believe they were 255/75/17)As far as "do they fit?" is concerned...why wouldn't they? They measure 0.25" taller than the Sport setup. That's only 0.125" more at any given point around the tire. Very small difference.

JL Rubicon tires / wheels and springs/shocks:
Hmm - interesting. What size were the Bridgstones that came on you Sport? As far a I know, the only OEM size available is 245/75/17 in either an all season or all terrain. Did the dealer upgrade the tires on yours before you bought it?No, I'm talking about JL Rubicon tires.
I've put the level and tape measure on them and the real-world size difference is very small, almost inconsequential.
The Bridgestone H/T tires that came on mine were within 0.25" of my buddy's BFG KO2 on his Rubicon, which of course is only 0.125" at any point around the tire.
