things to note:

• It has a premium top, even though that is not an option for the 2 dr Sport
• It comes with the ugly Euro bumper for fuel efficiency
• ONE piece fenders
• No grill inserts like Sahara and Rubicon
• Steel wheels so it is probably a base model Sport and not a Sport S

Admin addendum:

We've confirmed this is the new Sport bumper for US versions.

The part connecting the fenders to the bumper is listed as a "close out cover" on the parts site. It appears removable (see below).

Maybe that fender insert on the bumper is removable? It kind of looks like a separate piece and not molded into the bumper.

Glad to see the honeycomb mesh behind the grill even if the insert is missing.

The hood looks a bit bland compared to all the vented hoods we've seen recently.

Wonder if this has the 3.6 or 2.0?

Could the fender/bumper inserts only be included with the 2.0?

If you can get the led package and long with 8inch uconnect i think it wouldn't be so bad. Go out buy a nicer set of wheels with a lift you and bam!

I don’t think this is an export model. Why bring an export model to a US press launch? They wouldn’t.

I don't have a problem with them either providing they are removable. I do a lot of highway driving so i would be interested to do real world mpg testing.

I’ve always found your sarcastic comments to be comical, and I’m not being sarcastic. It is not an option for 2 door JL Sport and Sport S.

Ape posted the 4-door guide but he is correct about the 2-door S having Premium Soft Top as an option. The brochure and the order guide are inconsistent in many cases. I would tend to defer to the order guide.

This used to happen on the JK too, BTW.
