I am going thru the same decision making process. I have had a variety of black wheels on past Jeeps and also an anthracite wheel (Fuel Anza) on 2 Jeeps ago. I'm sort of at the mindset that black has been overplayed and I am leaning toward gunmetal myself. I do like the 3rd wheel to the right on the bottom picture you posted.I debating between black or gun metal Quadratec wheels for my Billet Silver. The Rubicon Extreme and '41 Wheel
Any opinions are welcome. And, if you have gun metal wheel, please share because they are alot rarer than black
I really that one, too. It is what's on @McBeevee 2-door in the post above yoursI am going thru the same decision making process. Yes, they are stock sized 285'sI love it! Do you have a shot from the back or front that show how much poke the wheel and tires poke? Can I also assume the tires are the stock Rubi 285s?
Thanks for that! Nearly the same specs as the Qtec XtemesThese are kinda' nice too: https://www.extremeterrain.com/mammoth-boulder-charcoal-wheel-family.html
They actually both have the same backspacing and offset (4.7 BS and -6 0ffset) in size 17x9. So both will poke out the same amount. They both are $149 per wheel. The load rating is insignifcant. Send either forum representative from Quadratec or Extreme Terrain a personal message asking for a quote and they will both give you a forum discount. Good luck! And I agree with you. The mammoth wheels appear to be a darker gray which will contrast better with billet silver. Now if I could only make up my mind on which wheels go best with Sting Gray. Thanks for that! 4.7 back spacing vs 4.75. They will poke out more, which I don't want.
They are loaded rated at about 1,500 lbs. The Qtecs are load rated at 2,100 lbs. I guess the higher load capacity the better..idk??
They "appear" to be a darker grey, which I would prefer.
And, they are $40x5 or $200 cheaper than the Qtecs
Do you currently have the black mamba on your JLU?They actually both have the same backspacing and offset (4.7 BS and -6 0ffset) in size 17x9. So both will poke out the same amount.
