Good evening,

I’m having some issues with tightness in my back when I drive my 2018 JLU. I was wondering if anyone has swapped out their seats in their current Wrangler or even maybe in one in the past.

I am looking into Corbeau XRS seats from Quadratec. Anyone have any other options for comfortable seats to be put in the wrangler?

Thanks, your help is very much appreciated

I know you can buy different back/ergonomic supports for office chairs and such have you tried any of those?

I’ve already purchased a gel seat and back cushion, maybe needs a lumbar support. I currently do not have issues with my older Honda and did not have any with my previous explorer.

I’m thinking of seats like these. If anyone has any experience with these type of seats, please advise.

I have worked in automotive interiors specifically seats for a few years (15yrs). A critical factor when replacing seats is called your H-Point (Hip Point). Basically this is where your hip bone is positioned when you are seated. You want to make sure you keep this position relatively the same. This is what the seatbelt and airbag functions are designed around.

Remember that the JL seats have integrated airbags. Swapping to an aftermarket seat is going to cause issues with the airbag system. At the least, you are going to have the airbag fault light on with the dash unless you can somehow turn that off in the system.

Do you have suggestions then? Would it be possible to add padding to the stock seats? I have bought maybe 5 differrent support cushions to try and they help some Or are just to bulky. I am currently having the steering tsb resolved and am sure it will help, but not enough.

Thank you
The new leather 2020 jlu seats are pretty but I hurt driving. The 18 cloth, heck even the 12 cloth are more comfortable so I am at a loss.
