I was watching the Doug DeMuro and starting around 24:40s into the video he starts talking about the 2.0. . I have been looking and I cannot find anyone with a full video or even pictures of the 2.0

Can someone link some if they exist? People talk about it all the time but someone must have a video a review of it from the announcement days.

Old video, some points he made are wrong.
The 2.0L makes more peak Torque at a much lower RPM.

I just saw this today. Starting around 4:30 he talks about the engines He basically says, he drove the 2.0 at launch but the 3.6 is the way to go. Its not much, but he does mention it.

Here is a video review with a 0-60 time for the 2.0, 6.84 slightly downhill and 7.72 slightly uphill.

Here is a video review with a 0-60 time for the 2.0, 6.84 slightly downhill and 7.72 slightly uphill.

TFL cant test 0-60 worth 2 shits. Roman got a 6.0 sec 0-60 in a Raptor. This is literally meaningless. Wait for real car mags to test it.

For reference, the 3.6l Sahara is around 6.8sec. and the Rubicon about 6.6sec. I think the 2.0l will be about 6.5 sec maybe. But the 3.6 will feel more responsive.

TFL was just using a little cellphone app, so the accuracy is unlikely to be as good as dedicated testing equipment. Also, most of the car mags don't include rollout in their 0-60 times which usually accounts for a few tenths of a second compared to timing from a dead stop. And finally, the TFL time was done at 3000' of altitude which will usually slow times as well, although how much on a turbo engine can be quite variable.

Car and Driver shows 6.1 to 60 with a manual in a 2 door JL Sport and 6.8 with an automatic in a 4 door JL Sahara. Now, if you added in a few tenths for rollout and a few tenths more for altitude, the times could be significantly longer. And I almost forgot, Car and Driver also corrects for atmospheric conditions so that can have an impact either way.

I drove 2 different 3.6s and a 2.0T back to back. The 2.0T was a 4-door Sahara Unlimited. The 3.6s were a 2-door Rubicon and a 2-door Sport S. The larger Unlimited 2.0T power delivery feels more responsive then the smaller 2-door Rubicon with the 3.6. . The 3.6 is definitely quieter and has smoother, more liner power delivery. Neither will win drag races but have more then enough power for everyday driving. Both definitely feel more powerful than the outgoing JK, most likely due in part to the 8-speed trans. The 2.0T was definitely less refined and noisier even with the ANC. The flatter torque curve lower in the power band is nice in the 2.0T. More useable torque. I suspect the 2.0T is the best choice for higher altitudes.

I received mine last week after 4.5 month wait. Towed an enclosed trailer with a 1000lbs bike in the back. Never lacked for power. very smooth. I love it so far

I went into the test drive wondering about how much more noise, vibration, harshness either engine had. I was curious about the Active Noise Cancellation and how well it worked. I was told the Active Noise Cancellation was only available on the 2.0T with the upgraded Alpine stereo because the 2.0T was noisier. I was told by 2 different managers at 2 different dealers the Active Noise Cancellation is not available with the 3.6. During my back to back test drives of a 2.0T and two 3.6s I felt the 3.6 was quieter and the power delivery was much more liner, smoother. The 2.0T was louder even with the Active Noise Cancellation. Quite a bit of turbo whine as the turbo spools up under load. Nothing annoying about the NVH of the 2.0T. It was just more noticeable to me after driving the 3.6 right before it. The 2.0T was definitely more peppy because the torque band is fatter and lower in the rpm band. More useable power, sooner. No scientific measurements but the 2.0T in the larger 4-door seemed quicker then the smaller 2-door Rubicon with 3.6. Another thing to consider if you are interested in a 2-door...I am planning on ordering a 2-door which has a smaller 17.5 gallon gas tank. The 2.0T gets 3-4 mpg better so the extra range between fill ups would be nice. It's probably a better motor for high altitudes. Both are good engines. Definitely test drive both back to back to see what you prefer.

Thank you for your "real world" input! It is very much appreciated. I look forward to trying out both as soon as my local dealer has a 2.0 turbo available for a test drive.

ANC is on vehicles equipped with the Infotainment system upgrade, the 3.6l has had it since day 1. If you have the big screen, you have ANC.

I assumed that as well but was told differently by 2 different dealers. Both dealers said the ANC was only available on the 2.0T engine with upgraded infotainment and Alpine sound system. They said the 2.0T was noisier then the 3.6. I was curious about this so I looked at every window sticker of every JL at a dealer. None of the 3.6 optioned JLs with upgraded Infotainment and Alpine had ANC listed on the window stickers. The 2.0T with upgraded Infotainment and Alpine had ANC listed right on the window sticker. The 2.0L with the ANC had microphone cut-outs in the roll bar and other places.

I am not sure the 3.6 needs the ANC because it was quieter then the 2.0T with ANC. Engine noise and turbo whine was obvious. Not to say the 2.0T was annoying, it was not. It just did not sound as smooth after a back to back drive with the 3.6. I could without a doubt tell which engine was the 3.6 or 2.0T blindfolded. Drivers who come from a performance car might actually like the turbo whine. Personally I dig it! Lol! I'd buy the 3.6 or a 2.0T with ANC. What I am not sure about is how loud a 2.0T is without ANC?

I know people are rightfully skeptical of information from dealers. It would be nice if people who own the 3.6 with upgraded Infotainment and Alpine can confirm. Or if JeepGuy or any other Jeep specialist is still around, maybe they can confirm?

I also posted this in the ANC thread... Perhaps it is the BSG system that is noisy.
