I've seen some discussion here related to child seats, I'm curious if anyone has more experience to contribute. My youngest son is around 30lbs and using a convertible Britax Roundabout in the forward facing position. This seat worked fine in my JKU and TJ, but the JLU headrests prevent it from mounting flush in the right and left positions. It works fine in the center, but I have two older kids and it would be better to have the child seat on one of the sides. Has anyone had any luck with a forward facing seat that fits a 1-3 year old who weighs up to 40lbs?

I've been using a Britax Marathon ClickTight in my JLUR rear passenger seat for a couple of months now. Its forward facing. My daughter is ~35lbs. No problems yet ... aside from my wife being a bit short to make getting the kiddo in and out convenient

we use the non click tight version for one child and the high back booster version for the other...haven't had any issues thus far.

Here are a couple pictures of my Jeep with 2 carseats in the back, a Graco and a Britax.

They aren't removable as you would find in most vehicles.

I found that once your kid gets to the "booster" stage....Recaro makes the best product. Up til that point, our comparisons of the different seats always led us back to Britax.
