700 mile roundtrip to Ouray this last weekend I got 21.8 mpg. This is going from 5,200 elevation all the way above 12k and a lot of steep climbs and pulling my 1,000lb camper.

Drove SC to FL and kept to 70 on I-95. My advice, find a large RV going 75mph and follow behind. You may get to 23mpg in the slipstream.

200-mile mostly freeway trip yesterday running 50-70 mph depending on speed limit. Averaged 24.5 mpg. Cruise control is superb at maintaining speed on uphill grades.

18.5 in my jlur auto in mixed driving. Mpg seems to really suffer over 70mph, best seems to be on 45-50mph back roads. My commute is around 14 miles per day of back roads and 55 miles highway (both numbers round trip). Only 200 miles so far. I don't see it going up much, though as it doesn't do that well on the highway if I go over the 70mph speed limit at all.

Also, dealer filled it up before I drove it home so not sure what grade they put in, if it's 87 it could hurt mileage some. I plan to run 91, will see if that helps.

That's about what I'd expect from a ruby. My high in my JLU Sport/6-speed is 24.6 with 600 miles on the odometer.

Regarding fuel, anything higher tan 87 octane is a waste of money, 2.0L turbo excepted.

In DC area traffic with some highway driving for a 38-mile commute each way in the JLU Sahara (3.6L, 8-speed auto), the wife resets her mpg calculator when she fills up. She usually fills up when the range gets down to 70 miles left. I have gotten into the Jeep and seen as high as 23.8 on the screen when she’s halfway through the tank. Most of the time it’s in the high 22 range. She has about 3K on it now. It’s better than I expected.

Just hit 1000km on my one week old JLUR (3.6l/6spd). Currently at 11.8L/100km or ~19mpg.

Around 75% highway at speeds of 65mph.

I heard that the mileage will improve a bit with time? Either way, it's more or less what I expected and unlike my daily driver, it doesn't use premium which is a huge bonus.

I'm up to 19mpg, about 65% highway, cruise set to 71mph. Drops fast above that. I think in normal commute I'll get around 20 but I've been doing a lot of other driving that's lowered it some.

Anyone with lifted JLs:muscle:?? I'm currently running 37s and have just updated my tire size using the Tazer JL within the last 200 miles. Originally my speedo was off about 6-8mph and I was getting about 12mpg after the first 1000 miles. After updating tire size, I am up to 14.2mpg overall average in just 1 tank of gas. FINGERS CROSSED that it will continue to climb.

My last two tanks were with spirited (120-125kph+) highway driving!!!
Quite impressed. http://www.fuelly.com/car/jeep/wrangler_jl/2018/brow/783030
Fuelly is the best way to track and check fuel economy. It takes out all the guesswork and hear-say on the internet and gives you accurate numbers to look at. I love it.

I'm seeing low 20s also, on my city/highway mix of commuting each week. Last weekend I towed a trailer and did some landscaping work and that tank went down to 19.6. The JL certainly is a fuel sipper. The JKU was really good. The JLU is just awesome.

However, I just lifted mine 2.5" and will be putting tires on sometime this summer so it'll be interesting to see just how far the MPGs drop off.

At half a tank. She’s drives it right.
