I was wound up last night and hardly slept. Seems silly, I’ve had several new vehicles before, but I’ve never ordered one. Something just seems special about this one.

I think my brakes feeling different was my seating position. Maybe I had some super leverage or something. Fine tuned seating position and it feels “right” now. Anyway there are so many sensors on modern brakes I think it would notice something wrong. Still I’ll pay closer attention to the feel for a while.

Does anyone know the spec for the license plate screws? I would like to source them in stainless. Otherwise up here in MI they rust and the rust stains the plate and looks horrible.

Woohoo! I ordered on April 17th and no progress ("C" Status) through April 30th. Based on discussions here, I removed the TRMS from my build on May 1st, I got a VIN on May 7, and I got this email from the Jeep Wrangler JL dedicated customer service email ([email protected]) today (in response to an email I sent yesterday -- they've consistently been good about responding the next business day):

Thank you for your response.

Our resources indicate your vehicle has been released by the plant and is currently in the shipping stages. Due to the high volume of all-new Wrangler models in the shipping stage, the suppliers that transport our vehicles are backlogged and working as quickly as they can to get these vehicles delivered to the dealership.

I will continue to track the status of your 2018 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport order & will provide any updates as they become available.

We appreciate your patience as we launch this exciting new product.
