Am I the only one who wants to know if Ted's profile picture was taken before or after "Corrections" started?
so the progress of Wibornz over the years.

Just started working in Prison. Was a big Farm boy.

When I retired, I was about 385. Just weighed myself yesterday and I am 258.

now back to Jeeping. We cruised in the desert north of Wellton Arizona today looking for Geo stones. Aka thunder rocks.

We did not find any, but the trail was awesome. Phone pics for now. Drone picks later tonight.

Maybe this is penis rock??

We drove across a couple of spots where the mountain dropped off on each side and it was so narrow that rocks would fall off both sides. The pic does not do it justice. It was not super steep, going down it was 20% decline.

More to come. I am just about done with the mud caves video and I think the one from our time here in the desert will be good.

We camped at Wash 16. Note the Wash are numbered from 1 to 72. There was approximately 25 miles or so of parking like this along the Orth side of Glamis.

This is the drag string area. They would reach speeds of 150+ mph with the fash sand cars. It was hard to watch as you expected some one to die at any moment. Pure chaos.

More to come. We will be out exporting some mines today and then working our way towards the Las Vegas area starting tomorrow. On Tuesday, Bill and Carla are flying home. Bill's girlfriend birthday is coming up and Czrla is going to visit her family and get our taxes done. They will be gone for 4 days before they return.

Then we decide if we attempt Big Bear trails or head to Sand Hollow area.

Do you find it difficult to make time for the drone shots? I always travel with my drone but never use it as much as I'd like. Even though it takes less than two minutes to get it in the air, I often hesitate to stop and take the time to do it.

I bought 2 go pros and have yet to use them more than a hand full of times. Setting up the shots you see the Tubers get is a PITA. A drone would be awesome, but I can see logistics issues as well as retrieval issues way before I even got one.

There are many times that I wish I had put the drone up. Yet I am in the moment and don’t want to stop get the drone out hook the tablet to the controller, power up the drone, take off, let it update the home location. Fly it to where I want the shot from , fly for about 20 minutes, land it and put everything away. So about 30 minutes total while everyone waits for me. They at times have a 5 minute attention span and then getting them to do what I want them to do can be a hassle. Like hey your falling way behind, speed up or slow the fuck down so your all in the shot kind of hassle. Then I still have to get the media from the drone to my laptop.
So yeah I don’t fly it as often as I want.

My drone is actually pretty hassle free. What I run into more than anything is I end up with an hour or so of footage and end up using a small amount of it. It seams like every time I put it in the air someone is bending over in the shot or someone does something randomly stupid so I don’t use it.

I like the GoPro cameras. They are tough, you can mount them anywhere, you can control them with your phone or voice commands and they take good footage. I just added an external mic to see if it helps with some of the wind noise.

Drone - Skydio makes a very capable drone that has "follow-you" type features that are amazing. I don't have one but have been researching drones and this is the one I would get. Link below has samples of it's capabilities with off-road examples.

it took two hours to winch me out. Why might you ask? Well Bill has a brand new Harbor Freight winch. The winch would move me about 6 inches than kick off. Then wait a minute or two and then another six inches. At least the winch eventually pulled me out.

Sorry you had to deal with tech glitches. Glad you were able to recover! :like:
