Is this 35 with liftSo do you have:
35x12.5x17 or 315x70x17 ?
Curious, why did you both go with the lift when the 35s fit without issues? Do you rock crawl a lot and need the extra flex room or just felt it was a better look / feel?
2" w/stock wheels and 35's
For me, this was at the begining of Feb, I wanted a little extra room for the 35's so there was absolutely no way they would rub when disconnected at full articulation. There were posts on here that they would in fact rub back then and yes, I'm a member of a Jeep club that have weekly trips. Just piece of mind really and the extra 2" doesn't suck either.Curious, why did you both go with the lift when the 35s fit without issues? My thread here. I figured if i was going to go with the lift, why not just go 37s then?

Looks good. That's terrible about them not mounting them. The JL absolutely doesn't need a lift to put them on. Would they mount them on a stock Raptor? What's the difference? So if you take a Jeep in and instead of lifting you go with flat or high line fenders they won't put bigger tires on? Should have gone to Discount Tire. Terrible.Well, finally got 315/70/17's on the Rubi today. Went with that since its basically a 35x12.5 but it comes with a nice and cushy Load C rating. Got them from 4WP since they had them in stock, but they refused to mount them unless I had a lift. "Store Policy." Wen't to Jeep but they couldn't do it with their "old balancing machine." Ended up at Discount Tire a few hours later.
- These are 315/70/17 BFG KO2s on the stock wheels
- The spare fits the tire carrier however does squeak and make contact on the steel bumper. I plan on ordering a re-locator tonight online.
- Speedo is off by 3mph at 55mph. Jeep said they could reprogram for $95 (seems like its worth spending $50 more for a reprogrammer)
- Ride quality is great, very similar to stock and I attribute that to the C load rating.
- Braking is a little reduced, nothing to worry about but noticeable.
They said they will only mount tires on wheels that are OEM spec if you are not lifted. They cited some Grand Cherokee "a while ago" that smashed a bumper due to not being lifted or some nonsense like that. DTC didnt have the tires in stock, and they were more expensive. I got them from 4wp for $50 off and they "paid the taxes" with their promo that ends today.Looks good. That's terrible about them not mounting them. On Discount Tire's website they list 17x7.5 as the minimum width for the 315/70's. Oh well, you got them done and they look awesome. Now sell your take offs to a Sport or Sahara Bubba. They said they will only mount tires on wheels that are OEM spec if you are not lifted. I did the same. 315x70x17 on stock. Rides great. No complaints thus far.Well, finally got 315/70/17's on the Rubi today. Did you take the end caps of the steel bumper because they were rubbing?I did the same. 315x70x17 on stock. Rides great. No complaints thus far.
