2 days are under our belts out here in Moab. We warmed up Sunday with Fins N Things and then did a trail that I've wanted to do on 2 previous trips out here but didn't get the chance. White Rim Road in Canyonlands. WOW! The wheeling isn't too tough (exept for a few places that spiked my acrophobia!) I've been all over the world, on 5 continents and I've seen MANY beautiful places, but this was undoubtedly the most spectacular drive I've ever taken. It is surely going to be at the top of the list on future trips out here, God willing.

We have 6 Jeeps in our group, including my JLUR, a JTR, 3 JKUs and a JKR. On Fins N Things the open diff Jeeps climbed a few steep hills with such ease that it really surprised me.

Here's a few pics to get it started. Today we're headed to 7 Mile Rim and Wipe Out Hill.

Did you do the W.R. road in one day without camping or a permit ?
We did it in a day. What slows you down is stopping for the views. Hard not to do that every 1/2 mile! We did have day permits. They are 6 bucks. I thought we'd never get one with EJS going on, but we got 6 with no problem. I can't emphasize enough how wonderful this trail is. Camping along it would be gravy.

We may do Hell's Revenge today. My cousin's 2018 JK went wonky while sitting at a gas station. It has performed perfectly to this point. We think it is the ECM. Hard to tell at this point. We put it in a shop that's going to take a look at it today.

It certainly is not as crowded as the last one I went to in 2015. I thought the trails would be crowded. We've come across plenty of folks, but not nearly as many as I thought. FIns was the most crowded but it was really fine.

Fins wasnt crowded yesterday. Got stuck behind a couple slow movers at one of the downhills and they wouldnt move out of the way for a while. Had a big line of sxs behind us.

Its just my family with me, no other vehicles. I know its dumb but it is what it is.

No problem going alone on Fins. There are many people there and so many of them are helpful.

We did Hell's Revenge and had a BLAST. My best buddy, though, didn't take some sage advice and wound up doing this on the entry descent for Hell's Gate.....

And this is my son climbing out. He was in the passenger seat. It rolled slowly and neither were hurt.

Overall, the damage wasn't bad. It could've been much worse. Just basically the door and fender flare were damaged.

We're doing Elephant Hill tomorrow and then Friday morning a trail in Arches National Park before heading toward home beginning with the Colorado River Scenic Byway.

How long of a day was it? I am headed out in May and see that there are no camping permits available online. I don't think I would need to stop all the time, so could probably go in 1 day.

We got a later start than I would have liked. We finished after dark, but not long after. I want to say we hit the trail around 10am. I may try to look at some of our photos to see if they have a time stamp.
