It's nice to see survivors like that Ford.came out of the grocery store and spotted this rare big ole gem. 1977 ford f-250 crew cab 2wd running larger a/t tires. its in pretty damn good shape for a 43 year old 3/4 ton truck.
I am just old enough to remember when crew cab light trucks were rarely seen. As ever-more stringent Federal fuel efficiency standards slowly killed off large passenger automobiles, though, while bypassing the tier occupied by pickup trucks (and SUVs), crew cabs began to come into their own. Now, regular cab trucks are the rare ones. There's a rough parallel between this outcome, and the diminishing presence of two door Wranglers (the latter being driven by practicality and not government regulation.)
