Update on Progress:
Got the Savvy front bumper, Warn and Factor 55 installed yesterday. Today threw a temporary RC 2.5" spacer lift on top of the Rubi coils to fit the Racelines and 37" BFG KO2s! And an Ace Engineering Spare riser/spacer. (it fit but feels way to heavy, will be going delete).

Loving the was it is starting to come together! Let us know what you think! It will be in a booth for Jeep Beach in Daytona in 3 weeks

Are the rubicon LCA's longer than the sport? And if so how much longer? Did you get them off your buddy or compare them?

Thanks

I did get them, and they were the same length. The mopar 2" lift ones are .7" longer. The caster does not feel much more off on the 2.5" spacer and rubi coils then it did with jus the coils

I noticed a few post back you said your caster was off because of the LCA after adding the rubicon springs and coils but if the sport and the rubicon LCA are the same length the caster wouldn't be off, right? The caster would still be in spec. Now with the 2.5" spacer lift I could see this, but with the rubicon coils and springs , only thing I could see that would cause a change in the steering would be the weight of the axles and the ride due to the coil spring rate and shock tuning based off of the options the rubicon had (hard top vs soft or tow pkg vs no tow pkg) am I right?

Thanks

In theory yes, but the rubicon axle is different. I know it it 1" wider, so maybe the LCA mounts are welded in a slightly different location knowing they come with taller coils.

Yeah I called a lift company (not the highest quality rated company but a long standing one) and asked what's the difference between your spring and shock lift kits (rubicon vs Sahara/ Sport)? Is it coil rate and shock tuning or more? He said its all different between the rubicon and non rubicon models and that you could swap parts (coils and shocks) with a rubicon and it might work but it will be off. He said with past jeeps you could do this no problem but not with the JL. Thanks for the reply.

So I called north ridge and they said there really isn't a difference outside of the obvious that we already stated. I trust those guys more than the lift kit manufacturer I called but I'm taking the wait and see approach.

Got the new model of the Spiderwebshade, grab bag and trail sac, and hit the trails 3 days after bringing home.

Does the trailsac actually hang almost to the ground? I'm looking for something like the Trasharoo but backup camera compatible

It was low, but that was on stock tires. It's not bad now, but I am going to do a spare delete. I think anything that hangs off the spare will interfere with the camera. I just put it there for offload and took off for the road. I love the trails for trails or beach. Allows everything to drip off dirt or sand.

Awesome build so far, how do you feel the suspension and tire combo are holding up? Another quick question, i read on RC website that after 3.5" lift you may need to change the front driveshaft because possible damage due to the amount of lift and angle of the driveshaft, is this something you're worried about? thanks in advance

That's the case on most jeeps, I don't plan to run this much longer, will be going 3.5 Rock Krawler when my Radflo shocks get here. Just needed to fit the 37s for Jeep beach.

RC said a new driveshaft is needed after a 3-3.5" lift so if anything i'll keep an eye on your build to see how it goes. Great build so far!

Do you happen to know the part numbers for front/back right/left on the rubi take off suspension? I've bought one but, don't want to install anything backwards...

Few updates. Decided to go with a Gun metal look on the new Raceline Clutch wheel. Also switched back to 35s. Just do way to much highway driving and not going to regear this jeep for now as it's a lease. The JL did way better with the 37s than the JK did, but I can feel the power can going back to 35s. Lastly upgrading to the beast of a shock with Radflos! I actually don't have those installed quit yet, but they are in, so that's great. Link to most of the parts on the Jeep in the first post .
