I did it myself, this is my first experience with ceramic but did a lot of research and YouTube videos. The kit was $116 with free shipping (link below) and I also got the maintaince quick detailer spray for another $70. Detailers seem to charge anywhere from $500-1000 for ceramic sealants, but its mostly labor/prep for a full detail and clay bar. As its a sealer not a wax the lacquer surface has to be stripped/virgin with no oils, waxes, polishes, etc that can react with it -- which is why it makes the most sense to do it on brand new paint to cut most of those steps out. The initial results speak for themselves and nothing sticks to it like Rain-X for the body -- they claim it lasts about 15-20k miles of average driving I'll have to see how long it holds up in the real world. The actual ceramic step after the prep isn't very hard -- just apply it evenly to one panel at a time with a sponge applicator and let sit for 15-20 minutes until it becomes tacky then buff off with a dry microfiber cloth. Happy with it so far -- black needs all the help it can get lol.@jb2980 Is that product hard to maintain? Also very expensive to have done?
