New JL owner. I came in from Colorado last week and sat at the computer and ended up buying a jeep. Have not drove a jeep since CJ days.

Located a manual Rubicon that had full leather, led, safety 1/2, cold weather group, trailer group and audio group at a dealer 100 miles or so away. Filled out credit app. Dealer called me Monday morning to confirm they had car. They had received credit info and said I could pick up and sign whenever. They offered an ask price of 49500 with msrp at 53795 assuming I take financing (zero for 36). I did not even counter, cause they came at me with 8% off msrp.

I showed up Tuesday and picked it up. Took about 15 minutes, mostly chatting at a small family dealer outside of town. No shockers with fees on signing.

So far in a week we have put about 300 miles on it. Picked up some accessories. Getting bumpers fitted-basically a short with some clearance/top mt winch. Rear Al. Yakima rack will hold a simple cargo box and my denver outfitters rod holders.

Basically a third vehicle decked out for fishing in CO.

Need to look into getting chains and or maybe a set of studded snow tires. We will be maintaining it ourselves.

May I ask if you purchased the Willys Sport - or the Willys? I’m using a third party negotiator for my 2021 (ordered on 9/15/20). I wanted the Willys, but the build sheet sent me references “JLJL74 Wrangler Unlimited Sport” with the “Customer Preferred Package 23W”. She says this = the Willys trim, but I know the Jeep website differentiates between the Willys Sport and the Willys. I just want to know if I’m getting what I think I am. That being the 2021 Willys trim (not the Willys Sport). Have you any insight on this? What the heck does the 23W package include?

Can I show off my Tremor here? After all it was a CA Jeep dealers decision not to deal on 2020 2dr JL Rubicon that I ordered my Tremor. Walked across the street and ordered it.

If it were a Sport it would be the 22S package. Mine is a Willy’s JLU auto on order and it’s the 25W package.
