I haven't seen too many people post pictures with 37's on factory rims. I would like to see a front shot and a side shot. I'm thinking of getting the Cooper STT Pro 37 12.5 to go on the 17's. I was thinking of adding 1.75 wheels spacers to help push out the wheels.

Most 37’s need to be mounted on 8.5” wheels and the stock wheels are 7.5”. Many installers won’t even mount the tires for you on under spec wheels. 37’s have a lot of sidewall and they look kinda pulled in on small wheels. Could be an issue when cornering in the right situation.

I’m in a similar situation, I want the 37’s but like the look of the factory wheel. In the end I’m going with new wheels to avoid issue.

This JL has 37’s on stock wheels.

anything larger than 35's and you're going to want new wheels. 7.5 ain't gonna fly

Here you go. Nothing wrong with 37’s on stock wheels. Good poor mans bead lock.

What lift did you put in to fit the 37's

OnlyOne hit it on the head. Desert racers used to mount 12.5" wide tires on 7" wheels all the time (before beadlocks) because they hold the bead better than a wider rim. As for rock crawling, your rim is better protected from the rocks. Bszczepanski and OnlyOne - your rigs look great!

Got it done and I love how it came out with the mopar lift and 1 3/4 spacers. These Cooper tires are great and very quiet for a mud tire.

If the tire bulges too much in the center, you can make a chalk line on the tread and then drive in a straight line, while adjusting the tire pressure till the chalk wears off evenly.

The narrower wheel weighs less then a wider one.

And desert racers still use narrow rims. Buggies will even run a 4” wide front wheel with a 9.50 tire.

Can you attach some pictures from front or rear. Want to see how far the tires stick out with the spacers

Thanks.

Do you happen to have a total height measurement with your setup? Planning for garage clearance. I saw another poster around 77"s but curious if that is consistent. tnx!
