Jwkang,

One day? Maybe it's worth a road trip from Denver.

I too am a little worried about the 3.45 gears on the Sport S, but quite a few jeeples (jeep people) on this forum claim that the 8 speed auto does pretty well with 35s except for kissing 8th gear goodbye.

I'm not planning on getting rid of these stock Michelin 245R70/17 32s, so if the 35s don't work out as my daily driver, my pit crew (I call Armstrong), will swap them when off-roading.

I'm really hoping this setup works out, because I really do like these wheels.

If I ever one day can afford a Rubi, these wheels are being installed before driving it off the lot. How insane is that?

245/70r17's are 30.5"
Paul,

My bad. Typo on my part. 245/75R17.
Still wishful thinking at 32. Measured the spare at 31.5" horizontally.

Used the measurement of a 32" tire cover that I no longer can use. The cover must be larger than the tire (dah). I have also invested in the larger Mopar Tailgate Tire Carrier in anticipation of the 35's which have the high centered tail light mount just above the back up camera instead of above the tire. Pretty much rendered my USMC tire cover useless.

Thanks for keeping me honest.

Jay

Went camping up at puffer lake. Bad weather but some cool trails to explore.

I am so outright jealous. I've placed my order for Fuel Ammo Anthracite 17x9 -18mm offset wheels in early March. I've been waiting for almost a 1/4 of a year (so far). I've only got the response of 'soon'.

This CV insanity has to stop!

I've so far invested in the 2.5" Mopar lift and am anticipating to mate these Ammo beauties with the 35x12.5x17 Goodyear Duratrac Wrangler All Terrains.

You and you're great looking setup is not helping my anticipation.

Thanks a lot....

Here's my rig that I'm hobbling around on and the wheels I continue to drool over. [Actually, I'm really enjoying this lift.]

Really nice!!!

I would be interested in your thoughts on those Duratracs after you’ve run them for a while. I have had good experience with the GY MTRs on my TJ, and am getting close to upgrade to 35s.

The Duratracs in 315 are on my short list, as are Cooper STT Pros. Both seem like great options and they are fairly light weight compared to some others I have been looking at.

Thanks!!!

Hey guys just wanted to share something cool I found.

for camping specifically, I Realized this tent fit perfectly right in the weird indented hump area towards the back of the trunk. It fits really nice and secure even on the trail but still easy to get it.

This tent is the Caddis Rapid 6 tent.
great option for camping especially for two doors with barely any trunk space.

Thought I'd share my 2-Door after some fairly recent mods. Quite often I get asked why I bought a 2-Door and I expect many of you do too. I had a 79 CJ in the early 90's (Wish I had kept it.) that gave me Jeep fever and of course it was a 2-door. I find myself drawn to tradition and heritage, so 2-Door it is. Anyway here are the pics.
