These look cool but what is the difference between the PLUS and ELITE besides the finish on the shock?

Also, any pictures of the carbon fiber overlay option?

Both systems function identically, the difference is as you noted:

QuickLIFT PLUS = Black gas springs with a 4 year warranty

QuickLIFT ELITE = Stainless Steel gas springs with a 5 year warranty

Here are some pictures of our 3K twill weave Carbon fiber option:

Is "quick release" new functionality? I purchased a set of QuickLIFT Plus struts last July and I don't see it on mine.

Hello bpdunsta,
Yes, this is a new addition to our Wrangler QuickLIFT system after receiving feedback from our customers.

The end fittings are available for purchase here:

Thanks for the quick response. I’m not interested in paying another $13 (or 14+%) for the functionality. It would have been nice to have, but that’s too much of a premium for me. Oh well...

Installed mine last night. Fairly easy install, to be honest. I used some clear anti-squeal tape under the brackets that get bolted onto the body. I did this in case I ever have to remove them...they won't leave any marks on the paint underneath it. The brackets on the underside of the hood are a little bit of a pain to get installed, but you see why when it's all said and done. They are on there really well. You will want to keep the hood prop down after installing one side, as the struts are not firm enough to hold the hood up with only one side on. With both on, it works well. Overall, I am happy with it and a 4 year warranty on them is not bad at all. Here are some pictures of them installed. I'd say it was worth the price. They were on sale for 89.99 when I bought them. They were also shipped really well in a solid tube. Also, the bottom of the strut has a quick release feature in case I ever need to rest the hood on the windshield top. That's a cool added feature.

I like this and with the quick release it’s win win
Very helpful when installing engine parts...no hood prop getting in your way. Cleaner looks as well.

Installed a few weeks ago, look and work great. One caution - the bolts going into the hood piece are easy to strip. I don't think the steel rectangular piece was well-mated with the bolts that screw into it.

These hood lifts seem like high quality. Question for those who have them? Would you order again? Which one to order? Did you guys order black or stainless steel?
