Looking for a white 4 door hardtop. I can pay full cash or my black texturized top + cash.

Oh wow... thanks! I don't know how this didn't show up in my reoccurring searches.@imbuere There's one on Craigslist now -- no affiliation, just letting you know.

I could see how you'd think that if you also assumed the going rate for a used painted top is $3k. I've been watching the used market on these for quite a while and can say, without a doubt, it is not. They go anywhere from $1800 to $2200... and that's just what they're advertised as. It's entirely possible the majority get talked down a bit form there in a non-public channel.A black hardtop is about $1,600 and a paint matched top is $3,000. ........ So I don't see how you are saying he is asking a "premium over typical retail".
I know the seller's vehicle is only a few months old and the top is in pristine condition but I would imagine making a decent offer is not out of the question, but if you are looking for a bargain basement price, I know he won't go for that.I could see how you'd think that if you also assumed the going rate for a used painted top is $3k. I understand. I offered an amount on the high end of what these usually go for, but it seem the seller is looking for a little more. I don’t blame them, I’d be doing the same thing.I know the seller's vehicle is only a few months old and the top is in pristine condition but I would imagine making a decent offer is not out of the question, but if you are looking for a bargain basement price, I know he won't go for that.
