damn that sucks about the rubi axles, id love to find a set also.

true it should be interesting for the m186. You see lots of jk dana 30s on 37 and they say its doable.

as you said the m186 is supposedly stronger then previous JK. Im going to truss the m186 with the artec so it hopefully adds some strength with the new FAD etc.

ill be staying on 35s for a while, but will test the dana 30 with 37s and see how that goes before i go to a UD44
I don't know if truss the D30 would do you any good to run 37s. The tube diameter, wall thickness, and Cs are the same as D44 that comes with Rubicon. The only differences are the ring, pinion, and axleshafts. Strengthening the axle tube by trussing it is never a bad thing but the smaller ring and pinion in D30 are what concern me.

I am currently running 34" tires and would like to upgrade in the future. Either regear to 4.56 and lock the rear, or get a set of rubi axles. Cost wise, getting a set of rubi takeoff seems to be a better buy.

I just joined the club with 37" Patagonias. Sahara 2.0L auto with 3.5" Rock Krawler lift. Replaced 315/70/17 KO2. I have wheel spacers ordered. It's drive-able and I have plenty of fender clearance but rubbing on the lower control arm. I had already adjusted the limiter screw to keep from rubbing the control arm with the previous tires, so I really don't want to adjust it much more. Not really wanting to go with the spacers but it's either that or new wheels.

Will eventually upgrade to wider, stronger axles and change gearing but it drives good right now. I don't notice any change in acceleration. I'm sure a re-gearing is called for but this will work until I can find axles.

The Patagonias ride great. Can't believe how quiet they are.

No good pictures yet.

What is the offset/backspacing on your current wheels?

Did you add the 37 spare tire?

+6 offset, 4.99 backspacing. Pretty sure I need at least 4.5 if not less.

Yes, I did mount the spare. I already had a relocation kit. The 37 won't clear my bike rack, though.

I’m on D30/35 on my Sport S. Running 37” Patagonia’s. It’s got plenty of power around town with the 2.0 and the 8 speed tranny. Haven’t taken it off-road yet....but I honestly won’t be doing any rock crawling either. 98% street until I find some Rubi takeoffs and convince my wife that we can spend 3-5 grand on axles.

If I do that, I’m just gonna run the stock 4.10’s and upgrade the axle shafts....maybe do a little extra wheeling after that. Until then, street, dirt roads and a little bit of sand.

I’d love to run 37s...I have 6 speed 30/44. I’m on a 3.5” metal cloak game changer. Does anyone else wheel theirs on 37s and a Dana 30 without issues. I have yet to hear about one breaking

What size tire are you running now? Also are your axles still stock? Are you wheeling alot? Sorry for so many questions. I have a two door same as you I am looking into a lift and larger tires now.
