Posted 4/3/20. My stock Rubicon rear brakes smell like they're HOT after driving since I installed my 37" tires. Any thoughts other than not to drive so fast?

Are you running a lift? If so, your emergency brake cables may need to be adjusted (add more slack). Sounds like your e-brake shoes are dragging.

After installing a RK 2.5" lift and following the instructions to relocate the e-brake cables below the crossmember, the passenger side cable was too short to re-connect. I loosened the e-brake adjuster (under the center console) in order to get the e-brake cable reattached at the brake backing plate. Then I adjusted it so there's not too much slack or too tight. I am also using a Synergy e-brake cable bracket to support the cables.
