2020 Jeep Wrangler JLU Frame Rust?

Has anyone that's bought or ordered a new 2020 JL or JLU had any frame rust issues? I know that there is an investigation for the 18 and 19s but they say not the 20s.

Hopefully they fix this issue soon for safety issues.

Yes, unfortunately I can report rust on JLUR 2020 (manufactured October, 2019) delivered to me this Tuesday - 2/11/2020 (7 months delivery time).
Went under the Jeep for routine inspection of front suspension as many people advise to do that after receiving the Jeep, and I found this:

I don't know what to do with this as @JeepCares seem to care mostly about the US owners, and local dealerships are almost useless - they know nothing about Wrangler and many well-known JL issues discussed here. I will try to contact Italian FCA customer support, but again - in the end it's the local dealership who must do something about it (replacing the entire vehicle is not an option for me), and honestly I have no idea what they can possibly do...

I personally don't see any real rust in these pictures. Most of what you see is light surface rust. Similar to what you get on your disc brakes when a car is not used couple of weeks. I don't see anything here to worry about except the holes in some of the welds. Looks like they still having issues with the welds not being consistent.
I looked under my 2019 4Runner and noticed similar surface rust on different parts.

I have a Jeep jlu 2018 that has been through a harsh winter with salt on the roads and I have a little bit of paint chips and surface rust on the frame primarily in the back. Was wondering if anyone has any recommendations on touch up paint I could use on the frame.

Well, as far as I understood, the surface rust is more in our minds than a real danger. Salty winters are something most damaging - from your pictures I'd be more concerned about the rust on the shock absorbers, still not too bad I guess. Reg your question - I think simple cleaning from dirt, then mild treatment with harsh brush, degreasing with alcohol/white-spirit and painting with some good quality spray paint (e.g. "Rust Oleum") is more than enough, IMO.

That rust is no issue and is on most vehicles for many years

That rust is insignificant but you could spend a little quality time under your Jeep with a Rustoleum rattle can.

I agree, almost a year of wheeling and of course no issues. I just was surprised to see that on a brand new car just delivered...

Neither Jeep nor others go under the vehicle after asssembly with a paint spray gun. You are seeing the various painting qualities of the vendors of various parts, and the unpainted machined surfaces in some instances, where two parts must mate squarely, and a paint drip or bubble could become an issue. If concerned get out your rattle can and touch up once in a while.

I have had 5 Jeeps and all of them had rust at one time or another and water leaks. Get a can of Zero rust , the best stuff to keep rust away..
I wish Jeep would offer a hot galvanized frame option!
