Here is the Dana 44 rear axle after it has been modified.

Note that the truss for the rear axle and the new shock mounting brackets.
The Rock Krawler shock brackets sit up higher and are less likely to get hung up on rocks like the factory brackets

Here is the front axle about to be installed.

The control arms are ready to bolt up to the axle too.
I am really pleased with the work done by the folks at Stacked Off Road.

Here is a picture of the rear axle installed on the Jeep.

With the Rock Krawler long arm mounting bracket being closer to the front of the Jeep, the body bracket had to be trimmed to allow full movement of the long arm. The Artec custom skid plate is shown (more on that later).

Also shown in the top picture is one of the Locked Off Road rear bump stops.

The top photo shows the Synergy Front Track Bar and Sector Shaft Brace.
The middle photo shows the one of the Locked Off Road front bump stops.
The bottom photo shows the some of the Artec axle reinforcement brackets for the C's.
I am truly impressed with the work that Diezel and Gill are doing.

Nice build. Long arm is definitely the way to go if cost is not a factor. Watching to see how it all comes together.

The top pictures shows that the control arm is at least twice as long as the OEM arm.
Really like the Rock Krawler Truss for the rear axle.

Another cool thing about the Rock Krawler T-Rex kit is that the rear shocks are up higher on the axle and are less likely to catch a rock.
IMG_9837.jpg

Another advantage is that the bracket is longer and points to the back of the JL. This offers better protection to the flexible brake lines for the rear calipers

One of the last things that that Stacked Off Road did was to install the Artec belly skids.
They took an Artec skid kit and converted it to a two door.
Gill had to make some brackets and fab up some other parts to get skids to fit the two door JL.
Diezel said that Gill must have taken the system on and off about 30 times getting everything right.
Their work was absolutely amazing.

A couple of things I really like about the Artec skids.
  • The brackets are super strong
  • The OEM gas tank skid is replaced by the Artec skid, which means you don't loose ground clearance.
  • The 1/4" aluminum is very strong, but light.
Anyway, hope to be out on the trails soon and but a couple rock rash marks on the skids.

Stopped by the shop, I could not believe how much they had gotten done.
The JL was on all fours :D

IMG_9673.jpg

Gill was working on the alignment.
Next, installing the Steer Smart linkages and then a flex test and bump stop adjustments

Diezel ask, hey do you want to drive your Jeep onto the flex ramp?
Sure, however, only seeing this done on YouTube, I needed some coaching.
He tells me how to angle the Jeep, 4x4 low, rear lockers on. sway bar disconnected.
Seems simple enough, but there is a lot of pucker factor going during on my first attempt.
After getting out of the Jeep, I was quite impressed with the flex.

On the first attempt, I did not get the angle quite right, but it was good enough for Diezel to figure out what adjustments were needed for the bump stops.

After Diezle adjusted the bump stops, time to try the ramp again.
This time, a better angle was used.

In the photo above, the steer smart components are shown.
To get all the steer smarts stuff to work together, a steer smart steering damper stabilizer was required.
Therefore, the Falcon steering damper stabilize could not be used. Bummer.

This portion of the build has been certified by Diezel.

I can't thank the Diezel and Gill enough for all their hard work on this build.
