Skill level . . . 2 out of 3 wrenches. Allow 1-1/2 hours to complete.
and I just don't have the heart to tell him he poured that into the oil fill. The wife is gonna be pissed.

Yup! Just ran into this problem. Tried everything, than realized maybe it was the cap....and sure enough it worked!

Once I figured that out, installation went smoothly.....

Havent done it yet, but Im thinkin of puttin in some windshield washer fluid. Waiting for my wife to get home , so she can show me how.

Got some new tires put on :)
On a side note, does anyone have any experience running a heavier tire on the tailgate?
Total weight of my spare is 90lbs and I've been reading that the tailgate is rated for 85lbs total

Get the tailgate reinforcement kit. I recommend Mopar. I have it for my Milestar 38's. You are asking for trouble without one. Ignore my thumbnail photo, by the way.

New shoes today, and got a little taller.

Fitted an AEV JL 2.5" Dualsport RT lift wit right hand drive geometry

AEV Savegre 2 rims

BFG KM3 315 70 17 tires

Now looks like it should have when it came out of the factory.
