Got the top off. Added Rampage Cover with mopar retainers No bar and it’s OK but there is small gap. I’ll spend 60-70$ on bar but not 180. So if anyone knows of tailgate bar that works with jl mopar tailgate retainer around that price let me know. Just not sure if Bestop or Smittybilt or JK bars work or not.

I added some character to the front or as some people might interpret: Rope and an old piece of wood.

is that some sort of protection device?

OK, driving is fine. You have to expect that the not very aerodynamic Jeep is even less so with the rtt but if you're ok driving a little slower, it is fine. Loading it onto the Jeep however was a different story. It wasn't hard, just cumbersome, and took some serious planning for me. With the coronovirus, all of our neighbors took off so that left my vertically challenged wife (5' tall) and my two boys, aged 11 and 7 to help. We put a moving blanket on the side of the Jeep just incase and just lifted it. Again, not overly difficult, just took some planning. I was considering buying a hinge crane that I saw on amazon, but after lifting it, I decided it wasn't necessary.

I have four people in my family so we needed the XL. If you have two adults only, I would go with the standard size, but if your family or group is any larger than that I would consider the XL.
Thanks Man! Yea it's just me and my 9 year old son. I have Lange a Hoist a Cart that I can use it to crane up my Hard top and you can hoist up the RTT as well . Right now they are on sale for $479 in their website.

Thanks, I appreciate the help. Also, the standard RTT should do well for you and your son. BTW, I was at ground zero a couple hours ago ( a supermarket near here) and there were random people standing around my Jeep staring at the tent. My wife thought they were planning on doing something to the Jeep but they were checking it out and we talked for a few minutes about the tent and Jeep. 4wd.com has the standard for a pretty good price.

Installed skid plates for my lower control arms that I won during Rockhard 4x4’s Super Bowl giveaway. Pretty easy install except for my passenger front where I had already bashed the hanger pretty good. Nothing a little grinding and a BFH couldn’t fix though.

These things are stout! Thanks @ROCK HARD 4X4 . :like:
Did you reverse the bolts on your rear shocks?

My bolts were the reverse of yours with the nuts on the tire sides. When I installed my rear lower control arm skids, there was no mention of reversing the shock bolts in the Rock Hard instructions. I left them as they were and installed the skids but afterwards someone pointed out how the bolts were sticking out on the insides. Once it was pointed out to me it is obvious that they are meant to be installed with the shock bolts reversed so the bolt nuts are on the inside as you have them. I am going to need to reverse mine but that means taking the skids off and everything so I just haven't done it yet.

I did not need to reverse the bolts when I installed the control arm skids. However, I could very well have reversed them inadvertently when I installed the lift. I seam to recall not remembering the original orientation when it came time to put everything back together. Probably just dumb luck.

I installed the same thing Saturday and had the same issue. It would’ve been nice if Rampage mentioned needing the bar when buying the cover. I’m trying to find a solution too.

Took some time out of my Coronacation to install @Redline Tuning hood struts, an @Rugged Ridge winch plate and a Smittybilt X20 winch. Fairly straight forward though I struggled getting the bumper off because I forgot the @Maximus-3 stinger was attached to the frame. I wish I had taken the bumper off to install it in the first place. Would have been much easier. Also installed their stealth license plate bracket.

Now I need to get a filler plate and install the line and my Factor 55 Ultrahook. Still considering a solenoid or switch for the winch power. Right now the cables are just zip tied in the battery compartment.
