Mileage is around 20.5-21 for me now but I'm on a Rubicon with KO2s...I'm assuming some of you guys with better mileage are on Sahara/Sport with less aggressive tires?

2020 Willys on Firestone mud tires. 2.0L Auto. Running ethanol free 88 octane. Just over 1000 miles - 24.9 mpg lifetime. Much of this in 4wd and snow-packed roads. Very happy so far.

2018 JLU sport. 28k miles reset the mileage calculator at 8k so my reflection is about 20k of driving mostly coastal highway and passes with lots of passing, some time off road and a trip to Canada and back. All stock with 87 octane. Replacing the air filter often helps. This thing seems to suck a lot of air and mileage does drop fast I noticed when it begins to get dirty. Averaging 27, has been up to 28 mpg. Stays between 27 and 28 most of the time. Want to put larger tires on but I am enjoying the fuel mileage.

I have a bone stock 2-door Rubicon with the 2.0 eTorque. Tire PSI is 36. I always use Premium gas. All dead flat paved urban highways and streets.

I did a 350 mile trip yesterday. Probably 90% highway, averaging about 70 MPH. HVAC set to 66 degrees on AUTO. The highways are deal flat here. Temps were around 36 degrees on the way there and 45 degrees on the way back. We routinely have 10% ethanol year around. We are still on winter blend gas. I averaged 23 MPG on this trip hand calculated. The computer said 23.4MPG.

I have seen as low as 17 MPG combined with about 80% city (bumper-to-bumper) / 20% highway during below freezing temps. I believe some of the lost MPG are due to using the remote start and warm-ups.

My all time high was 26.5 MPG on a couple of hundred miles road trip in the summer. It was about 87 degrees outside. A/C was set to 66 degrees the entire time. Driving was all dead flat highway.

I probably average around 19-20 MPG combined with mostly bumper-to-bumper traffic. Seems to be going up a little as the temps rise as spring approaches.

Never in my wildest dreams would I expect to see such impressive MPG in a Wrangler. I think that's pretty impressive considering the stock Rubicon gears, the shape and height. Like I said, VERY impressive for a "Brick" on wheels.

For comparison, my stock '97 TJ 2.5L 3-speed auto never got more then 16 MPG even going down hill. My '15 JL Freedom Ed with the 3.6 and 5-speed auto best was 20 MPG. And that did not happen often. My JLR 2.0T is a rocket compared to both of them also. Very impressed with the power and torque of this 4-cyclinder turbo. The new 8-speed automatic is EXCELLENT and well matched with the 2.0T. I can't still believe I can get 26 MPG in a Wrangler! lol. The JL really is the BEST Wrangler ever in my opinion.

A little off topic, but how are these tires in the snow for you?

Better than expected. No issues on icy or snow packed roads. Very predictable and tractable. I was nervous about them before I had the chance to drive them in some bad storms.

They are still fairly new. Story might change as they wear out. Like almost all tires.

I'm trying to wrap my brain around the recalibration thing. So if a Jeep wasn't recalibrated and you have 35" tires on a JLUR, is the real mileage more than it's reading? I know the MPH is off - gps is showing about 5mph more than dash is showing at highway speeds. But curious about actual miles on the vehicle.

I had multiple hand calculated highs of around 29mpg somewhere out in the west coast and midwest on my cross country trip back to the east cost. Range was up there in the mid 500s, cruising about 70-75 on the flat highways for long stretches of time. Loved it.

Stock JLUR. Get around 20mpg using premium. Also, live at around 5,600 ft above sea level
