Hello! I have a 2020 JLU on the way, should be here in 6-8 weeks and I ordered a Premium soft top. My question is, has anyone tried tinting a JL premium soft top? Thank you.

I went 15% on fronts to match the back, it’s pretty close. I also went 50% on windshield.

Shop used Llumar Ceramic.

50% windshield
15% all sides (including over factory tinted rears)
2 layers of 15% on rear window (single layer was not enough)

Tinted with Xpel Prime XR+.
20% on all windows except windshield (got a crack need to fix). The rears are probably down to a realistic 15% due to the factory smoke but negligible difference.

Even though I've only at it one day, the XR+ is very good at rejecting heat. Excited to see how well it performs in more extreme temps (only high 70s/80s today).

Got xpel prime xr+ ceramic tint thanks to @CarterRuss recommendation. Really happy with the look as I wanted to make sure it wasn’t too dark in the front so you could still see in/out.

Went with 35% in the front and what is effectively 20% in the rears.

How's night driving for anyone with at least 20% over factory on rears? Considering getting that on my JL, not sure what to do with the fronts as in MD you're only allowed down to 35 and if it's worth it to go that dark tint/tint to it's equivalent with factory.

So I have factory tint on the back and put 20% on the front. I live in the city so I have no problems but as soon as I go to an area that has no lighting/poor lighting it’s too dark to see. I have to roll down my windows when making left/right turns. To make sure no one is crossing the road.
Where I live it’s also legal down to 35% but I’ve had no issues with the police. I was told 20% would match the rear but to be honest it is a little bit darker then the rear. I think 25% on the front and leaving the rear factory would create the best match.

@IceInfusion Thanks. I tend to road trip at night so having night time visibility from all sides is imperative but also I want more privacy since I sleep in my Jeep as well on top of keeping travel gear in there. I may get 25% on the fronts and leave the rear alone as suggested.

Sharing a pic of my 2019 Sahara with 5% on front windows, 15% on all other windows and on the eyebrow across the front windshield.

Mine are 20x9 with a -12mm offset - bought them back in FEB 2018

They had them in 17's and 18's also

Black Rhino Warlords were almost sold out about 10 months ago maybe a year . But I did contact them for a friend who wanted them back then and they said they were continuing that style so you shouldn't have any problems locating them now.
