Looking at adding a dead pedal. I’m 6’2” and do a lot of long freeway drives but I don’t find it uncomfortable, however, I keep hearing adding a dead pedal really adds to the comfort.

Should I?

MORE, Portal or Spartan or another brand?

Thanks.

I installed one and over the last 8 months it has proven to be solid and comfortable. M.O.R.E. makes very good products IMO. All made in the U.S.A.

Absolutely would not drive my JL or JT without one! One of the most comfortable mods you can do. I have MORE dead pedals in both of mine. Contact Joe at MORRIS 4x4. They will give you a forum discount too.

Love mine, I installed the MORE. I was uncomfortable driving my Cherokee between Yuma and Phoenix every week. One of the first things I did to my Wrangler.

I put the Sparta in and really like it. The other great comfort mod is raising the front of the seats - really easy and helps a ton.

One of the 1st mods i did to my JK and now the same with my JL. I went with MORE each time. A bit of a pain in the butt to install on the JL, but definitely worth it.

How did you raise the front seats and what length

Not sure what you mean by raising the front seats. I didn't do anything to my seats, other than slide the driver seat back to make room for the dead pedal install. I installed the dead pedal at the lowest setting (closest to firewall). I found anything higher than that felt unnatural to me. I'm 5'7" and I'm perfectly fine with that position.

Sorry, I replied to the wrong person.

I do like my seat tilted slightly up in other vehicles. Might try this too!

On another note, I followed that amazon link. There's several dead pedal options. What makes the MORE worth so much MORE money? It seems like a $50 part tops.

MORE is a reputable company with reputable support. Most, if not all, of the others are knock offs.
