There are a lot of good options out there. It all depends what your needs are. I’m running a MotoBilt stubby front bumper, to save some cash I opted for the Smittybilt 10K which, so far the set up has worked.

I went with Warn Elite w/ Bull Bar and Warn EVO 10K synthetic line winch for right at $1500. People have said it looks like it could be stock. I like it because it’s solid and the winch is recesses, and the fogs were retained. You can get it without bull bar or go Quadratec Stealth Winch and save a few $.

My favorite on the JK was AEV if it is available or look at Rock Hard aluminum bumpers.

Like LOD, just like those better.

I had the mid width LoD on my 4 door which was a nice bumper. Now I have the Rubi steel and have no reason to change.

Good morning jeepers,

I really want a nice front bumper /winch setup, but I just cant decide. I've seen the mopar steel with the Warn winch but I just cant pull the trigger with the high price tag. What do you guys have or think is the best setup for under 1500 dollars? Thanks in advance...
Al, this is a Rugged Ridge Spartan bumper, with a Harbor Freight Badland ZXR 12,000 pound winch. The whole package came in very close to $600.

I am going with the ARB Bondi, should be delivered tomo weather permitting. Will be mounting a smittybuilt 12k X2o on it from black friday and should be under 1500 total. Lots of great options out there though now vs two years ago.

Funny that the dealership didn’t tell you how many doors it had when you bought it. .....:)....I’m a little biased, but that lod bumper looked good on there.
I tried and failed to own a 4 door. They’re all awesome. I’m just fond of the natural Jeep look. Lol.
Yours is pretty awesome so I can look past the dingleberries.
And you have a badass cat!

I went with Rock Slide Engineering and a Smittybilt winch. With the winch on sale it was under $1500 total. Factory fogs fit, and with a Sport your fenders will fit tighter to it than they do with the Rubi fenders.

this is the way I like it, nice job

Went with Motor City Aftermarket (forum sponsor) front bumper + skid plate and rear bumper. I like the quality and clean, simple look of the MCA bumpers. With Smittybuilt winch and various items to complete the project, my total spend for upgrading both bumpers was a bit over $2000 - not cheapest route to go but not a budget buster either.

Following as I have the same problem/question.

I really like the way the steel mopar bumper looks, wanting to add a winch and a grille guard loop with some aux led lights on it. Why does that price tag have to be so high in comparison to the other after-market options!?! UGH
One other (minor) consideration: the Mopar steel bumper will retain it's value much better than the aftermarket units at resale time. One of the best looking and sturdiest - I've crash-tested mine, and it was unscathed. [how many people can give you that sort of testimonial?]
