CJ Inspired Build

On my two prior JKs I went with an old school CJ-esk theme, I'm going to attempt the same for my JL starting with wheels/tires.

I'm on the hunt for a chrome D-Window style (or similar shown in the CJ pic) any recommendations are appreciated.

I was interested in either the Quadratec CJ Alloys or the ProComp Series 69

I'm glad I'm not the only one who is thinking this way. I put on early "70's inspired Renegade Stripes and also am thinking of getting the Q'tec Wagon Wheels.

That's crazy the white wagon wheels are available now, I had to get a set of D-Window wheels and power coat them white - plus add the traditional red and blue pin stripe.

Love the ProComp Chromes, any fitment issues with stock suspension and backspacing?

I don’t. I’m pretty sure that they were custom printed by the company. They may have been done by someone on this forum.

That is a really good looking Jeep! I think since it is a Sahara "Laredo" would be more appropriate.

I've got some of the Smiley Covers from the KC Daylighters my dad ran on his truck. I'm trying to find some LED's that are the same diameter that I can run on my cowl, solely for the purpose of using them. I loved the Smiley covers as a kid, my son would probably find them funny, and I feel like it may help offset the mood, with everyone running around with Angry bird grilles

doing the same... always loved the really early (~1970) CJ5 Renegades...

KC's, hood tape stripes, even the old "Dauntless V6" badges... 33's and Rubi suspension coming shortly, though still torn on wheels. Really dig the JL Sport's stock black steelies, but those Quadratec retro alloys (especially in black) are super appealing. That said, that could be bumper/winch money.
