This may be one of the things I'm looking forward to most. The JK's headlights are woeful.Going from a JK with halogen to a new Sahara with the leds has been a treat. They did a great job with the led lights so far.
They upgraded them last year, the new LEDs on the Sahara and Rubicon are some of the best LED light out there, but like anything, you have to pay for them, especially if you got a basic Sport. This may be one of the things I'm looking forward to most. The JK's headlights are woeful.
Yeah, but the most surprising thing about those initial IIHs test was how far fromthe bottom the Wrangler actually was. Sure it was still poor, but even brand new models like the Hinds and others did worse, which was just laughable, even some LED were in the marginal range, and surprisingly some incandescents were actually in the good category. The fact that the Insurance Institute will be testing and evaluating headlights just as they do crash-worthiness will force manufacturers to improve lighting in order to gain good Safety scores.
We "shouldn't" have pay extra for basic Safety items, which lighting certainly is.
