I see that you did a drag link flip and track bar relocation, but was that necessary? I only ask because another member here is having some issues with his 3.5” MC and MC told him not to flip and relocate so I’m curious how your set up drives, maybe can help out another member who’s having some issues.

I have the Mopar tailgate hinge kit and it works great. I think it puts upward pressure on the tailgate to compensate for the heavier tire because when I remove the tire and close the tailgate it doesn’t shut right. When I put the tire back on it shuts perfect.

I had the hinge kit painted to match the body to keep the factory look.

I think that’s maybe because you misaligned it during install. Did you pre load the hinges when you installed it? That could be another reason why. It looks great color matched by the way.

I went with a complete hinged carrier, there are a lot of good choices on the market. I needed one fast so I went with EVO, but it was definitely not my first choice.

How well do those Toyos perform in the snow? How's the road noise?
With regard to snow, I am sorry to say local temps have not given me an opportunity to test the Toyo snow prowess.

I originally had planned for Cooper STT Pros when my local Jeep shop convinced me to go Toyo. Within days of getting them on, I had to take two different one hour plus highway trips and was pleasantly surprised with how they handled and sounded. I was so on the fence with MTs v. ATs [or hybrids] but given how woods and beaches can be here in New England (i.e., mud, wet sand/rocks, etc) , MTs were a big plus for me. For the record, however, i have a choice of daily drivers beyond the JLUR with my F-150 or LR4 so taking the risk with the Toyo MTs was not so risky. Regardless, I am very happy with the Toyos so far.

Who’s running 37” Ridge Grapplers? I just pulled the trigger on them, moving up from 35” Ridge Grapplers and would like to know if the weight difference is noticeable.

I picked her (Ruby Lee) up on October 15th and have finally got her just the way I want her..... for now ;-) She's come a long way in a short time from stock, in the 1st pic the day of pickup.

I've owned dozens of cars in my 50 years (2nd Wrangler), and this one tops the favs list for sure. LOVE IT!

Mods done so far:
  • Ceramic Coating
  • Front Window 20% Tint
  • Quadratec Ultimate All Weather Rear Cargo Liner
  • Rydonair 13" Stubby Antenna
  • Maximus-3 2.5" Geo Lift
  • 1" Tereflex Coil spacers in rear (qty 2, 1/2" spacers stacked)
  • Maximus-3 JL Classic Bumper Hoop
  • Warn VR Evo 10 Winch
  • Rigid Industries D-Series PRO Midnight Edition Spot Lights (2)
  • Ace Engineering Rear Tire Carrier
  • ROAM MK3 Rock Rails
  • BFG 37" KO2s
  • ICON 17" Compression Alloy Wheels
  • Factor 55 Flat Link

Which control arm relocation bracket are you using? Looks like it doesn’t hang as low as some of the others I’ve seen.

I did for a few months and it drive so like a nice luxury car. But I missed that mud tire look and it went with the Cooper SST pros. But you will love the grapplers

I have the 35” grappler’s now and love them, I’m hoping moving down from an E load range to a D load range gives me a better ride. But I’m also hoping the extra weight and the 37’s in general doesn’t screw up the ride:facepalm:
