Remote Engine Start Possible with One Touch Sky Roof?

My Jeep dealer doesn’t have any JL One Touch Sky Roof with Factory Remote Engine Start. He says the factory doesn’t supply or manufacture One Touch Sky Roof vehicles with Remote Engine Start.

I wonder if he is even right? If yes, it might be for safety or liability reasons?

If anyone has this option from factory on Sky Roof JL, please let me know.

Or if anyone retrofit Mopar Remote Engine Start to a JL with Sky Roof?

Remote engine start has absolutely nothing to do with the sky one touch top lol

Now, it DOES have to do with transmission. If you’re trying to get a manual then no you can’t get it.

But again, top choice has nothing to do with remote engine start.

Remote start as mentioned above, only with 8 speed auto tranny! Maybe that's what the dealer is trying to say,hope so??

Not intending to upsetting anyone, but was there a reason, beyond maybe profit, that FCA made Power tops and manual transmissions not available on the same JL?

Engineering reasons for this simply escape me; not that one couldn't exist.

He meant remote start isn’t available with manual transmissions.

Sky one-touch is available with either transmission.

Remote start doesn't work with the doors disconnected.

It does work with the top open but, not with the doors off as stated. Bummer since I would love to warm the car up with the doors off when it's cold.
