How about a 7 month wait!

Got the window couple months ago, different heater lead pattern, looks like same connection set up? No real chance to use it of course it's in the 90's for awhile, get warm to the touch so I guess it's working at least still"stuck" on there!

Jeep has really clucked up on this one, not doing a real fix and not having MoPar windows to replace. I had to get JeepCares and the FAC customer service involved. Hoping when the ice comes it's still"stuck" on!

Go Jeep!!!

Had the same issue back in Jan/Feb of 2019. Finally got my replacement window at the end of May.

Used the defroster this morning. Opened my tailgate this afternoon only to find that it unsoldered itself...

@JeepCares What can you do for me? This has become quite frustrating!

Hi Matt,
We certainly understand your frustration. There was a Technical Service Bulletin (08-037-19 REV. B) that appears to address concerns similar to the symptoms that you are having with your vehicle. To ensure this TSB applies, we would like to get you into the dealer to have a qualified technician review the details of the TSB and specifics of your vehicle. Once reviewed, the technician can then perform the repair procedure that best matches the symptoms and diagnosis of your vehicle. If you need any additional assistance throughout this process, please send our team a private message.

well, mine broke off "again". went to the dealership to have it written up to be replaced and here is what follows:

dealer service guy (dsg): you leaving it here?
me: no, it's my only vehicle
dsg: you need to leave it so my tech can spend the time to take pictures and write it up so we know what jeep wants us to do with it
me: this is the second time and my only ride, I cannot leave it here
dsg: if you can't leave it here, I can't help you today
dsg: we can schedule an appointment m-f but you'll have to leave the vehicle
me: it's my only ride
me: semi-jokingly "I'll just get some poxy and fix it myself in 10 minutes without it failing again"
dsg:"guess he heard me". good, one less we'll have to worry about

never a mention of we can put you in a loaner - even though I know they have a service loaner - I shouldn't have to tell them or ask them about a loaner, they should be pushing it to keep my business - I'm about done with my dealer

Just discovered my wife's 2018 JLUS has the same passenger side cable came off at connection point. Just found this forum discussion and I'll call our dealer about it.

Do not waste your time with a "fix" at the dealer. It will NOT work. Some who replace the glass at their own expense are still having this issue. This is garbage.

Dealer supposedly ordered a repair kit for mine, probably the same on I ordered on amazon and have not used because I want them to fix it first. No attempt at a full rear window order. Will likely get it fixed in a week or so.

I was just told that mine might not be covered because the glass only has a 12 month warranty?? I have never heard or read about that anywhere.

Noticed my rear window defrost wasn't working the other morning when there was some frost. Went around back and looked at the cable and sure enough it had come unsoldered from the back windscreen, not sure when. Picked the Jeep up on August 29th but this is the first time I had tried the defroster.

I have an appointment at my local dealership on Tuesday, we shall see.

Just noticed mine was no longer attached to the glass on my 2020. Picked it up in August and already fallen off! Frustrating, especially now that winter is approaching! Uggggggg
