I wish my dealership and Jeep were as dedicated at solving my steering/constant pulling issues with my JLUR. After 5 days at the dealership (third visit for same issue), I was handed back my Jeep without resolve, and told by a service manager there’s nothing else that can be done (same individual who took a test drive with me previously and agreed the Jeep has an issue). All they did was another alignment and according to the advisor, adjusted the axle, considering it’s a solid axle, I call BS. Talking to a Jeep care specialist and having my case elevated was equally worthless. So I guess Jeep thinks it’s acceptable to give vehicles back that are not up to proper driving standards. I guess going down legal road is next. It’s my 2nd Jeep and last Jeep.

I have the same issue. My stock 2019 JLUR pulls right all the time. Now only 2 weeks from taking delivery has been in the shop 2 times. Case filed with STAR. Dealer said they phoned customer service but no reply and they can’t solve with normal repairs. Allignment is fine, but built in castor is the suspected issue. Told to bring it back next week for further troubleshooting by ChryslerTechnical Support.

Don't let them use caster correcting bolts. They will elongate your control arm bolt holes in the frame mount. I would demand lower adjustable arms before I let them drill out a square hole into a rectangle. Otherwise you have a place things can slide where the factory never intended them to.

I told them they werent going to alter the way my vehicle was built from the factory. Adjustable lowers can change your caster without a permanent mod to your mounts where things could move later on.

As I said before, they eventually faced mine to the power steering unit but it remains a mystery why it pulled right. All I know is a "reset" ended the issue for the most part .

My thing was, if alignment specs were on, then the caster "correction" was only masking the real issu .

Also, file a complaint with nhtsa. At least it adds to the number to where maybe it gets some attention when a threshold is hit. Maybe.

Sounds good. Where did those instructions come from?
Those are instructiins from a caster correction bolt kit for the JL. The service writer told me the kit they ordered required no drilling or cuttin . I showed him these and he tried to say these were for jks. Finally he said he would tell the tech no cutting or drilling. When the kit arrived, he called and told me, yep, they would have to cut so they did not install them

And after all that, it wasn't even the issue, which was clear when the alignment specs were correct to begin with.

Be patient but be firm about them not modifying your jeep. Make sure they keep you in the loop with the list of tests/ fixes.

I checked my alignment, was in perfect specs.
Adjusted the toe-in slightly to see if it helps with high speed stability.....(0.20 + toe)
Could adjust it further , specs allow max of (0.35)
Didn't want to risk outer edge wear..
Going on a four hour trip next weekend.. Will see if any difference is noted...
Haven't had any pulling issues

Do you know which fuse that was? I'm skimming through my fuse box reference chart and I'm not seeing anything that says "power steering right here" or anything else obvious.
I dont think it's one of the little accessory fuses, I really haven't looked cause the dealer did it and notated it on my service sheet.

So, by way of update. The Brand New 2019 Jeep Rubicon Unlimited has now been in the shop for another 3 days. Now they have been told to:

1. Loosen the control arms and see if it will correct the problem after driving on a flat surface.
2. If that doesn't work, disconnect the power steering electronics and see if that changes anything.

Sound familiar?

Yep, that's the STAR checklist. Sucks, dont it! Especially when they have me a sahara all mommed out as a loaner.

Hopefully yours resolves too. They are soooo slow getting back with the mechanics for the next step

Ok, time for another update on the 2019 Jeep JL Unlimited Rubicon pulling problem. The Jeep is still in the shop. Now it has been nearly 20 days in the shop which is longer than I had it in my possession with only 600 miles on it. I was told that Jeep Chrysler FCA had the shop jumping through all kinds of hoops trying different solutions. They changed the steering gearbox. No dice. They swapped the brakes side to side. Nope. They said an engineer was coming out to see the vehicle on a specific day. He failed to show up and gave the Dealer more to try. Nothing works. I emailed FCA about this 3 weeks ago. No reply. Bottom line, JEEP DOESN'T CARE! If they did, their engineer wouldn't cancel AND they would let a new customer go through this without an immediate solution. I am out of patience and will seek legal recourse. WARNING TO ALL PROSPECTIVE BUYERS, YOUR 2019 JEEP MAY BE FUNDAMENTALLY FLAWED! If it is, don't expect them to do anything about it!

Alex,
I have already emailed FCA weeks ago. Someone named Alexander (is that you?) said they would get a manager involved. NEVER HAPPENED. Lots of promises, no action. See below.

“Thank you very much for reaching out to us!

Let me first say congratulations on the brand new 2019 Jeep Wrangler! I am so sorry to hear about the alignment issue. It is always a good idea to contact us, we are here to help.

We are definitely here for you! Our dealers are the ones with the mechanical and technical training and skills. The dealer is the one that needs to diagnose and fix the issue, they have the resources to pull on the expertise of our engineers.

I would like to escalate your concern here for review by a manager. Please allow 3-5 business days for contact.

Our goal is to ensure your experience is of the highest quality. Should you have any further questions, comments or concerns, we would be happy to assist. You may reach us via chat or email through www.mopar.com or contact by phone at 877-426-5337.

With Sincerity,

Alexander”

I am not interested in a case with Customer Care. And I previously sent you a private message already. I want a properly designed and functioning vehicle. FCA already has all the information. The dealer is doing all they can and your company is non-responsive for almost a month now. You are only responding on this forum to try and protect your image. Your engineer didn’t even show up to the dealer as promised. As I said, I am OUT of patience.
