They didn’t do a dyno run but the spokesperson from Edelbrock said it would bump it up to 375hp (crank).

I'm skeptical about any FI on this reworked pentastar. There have been so many issues with the programing for the turbo kit. And the increased factory compression ratio makes the tolerances for the A/F ratio that much tighter.

@jeepingib I agree with you about the compression ratio. However, I think them getting it right is what’s taking so long. That turbo company that starts with “P” rushed their tuning to market and several people had/has issues with them including blown engines. I haven’t heard too much about the Pro-Charger setup but I do have some faith in the Edelbrock system.

They did not post numbers.
Saw this on a XOR video on YouTube today.

Doesn’t seem like a lot for all that trouble $$.

Not record numbers but it should be more reliable than the some of the other FI options out there. If I go FI I will go with Edelbrock.

Not record numbers but it will be reliable.
Not big numbers, but it's a 25% gain. Want more out of the V6, put in some drop-in pistons and you can bump the boost.

As somone who has lent their vehicle to Edelbrock for development work, I can say that their kit will be bulletproof. My 2012 300 SRT8 was the first 392 motor they did in 2013 and it's still going strong. I drive it like I stole it every day. Edelbrock doesn't put their name on it unless they've done the work to make it reliable and safe.

While I agree, I would only do a Edelbrock, 80 hp for $7-8k is a bit disappointing.

Stock engine is 11.3:1 compression and thats pretty high for FI and would limit how much boost can be run. Edelbrock is a reputable company and will play it conservative. That's still 25% power gain which is nothing to sneeze at on a NA engine.

Seems pricey for 75 HP but I agree that company has been around for years with folks that know their stuff and not going to put out junk. When does it make sense to just save more and go Hemi?
CA-legal Hemi swap is, last I heard, $25k. And that was for a JK, not a JL.

The Air Resources mafia make having fun a pain in the @$$. CARB is full of shazam too: can have any number of aftermarket catalytic converters in 49 states, but you have to pay the mafia for permission to sell on their turf. Not like the cat gets any better or worse, just another taxation scheme.

Compared to a $25k mafia-approved engine swap to get 485 crank horses and 475 crank torque out of a 6.4L Hemi, 355/325 for 8K is comparably reasonable.

Now, I know CARB doesn't matter to most people, but the reason I'm throwing CARB certification into the consideration here is to make it a more true apples-to-apples comparison: because Edelbrock sells their kit as a CARB-Compliant one. Meaning they paid the mafia their dues and only released their complete kit with their blessing. I spoke to Edelbrock today, and they said that they technically have a kit that is ready to go today, if one were to get their own custom tune and be willing to forego the 3 year 36k mile warranty. Otherwise they're still waiting for the CARB-mafia to give them the OK on their tune, and working out a few bugs with ESS.

The impression I got from the phone conversation was that they're trying, and if all the cards fall into place perfectly then sometime in December, but realistically to not hold your breath until early 2020.
