I know this is a “First World Problem” post and kind of a mall crawlerish question (as a grown man I’m prepared to take some Flack for this), but I’m trying to do a little something different with my Jeep without being tacky.

My wheels came all black and I know folks have different thoughts on black wheels, but there was a long process of elimination to get to the KMC XD Recon 140s, mostly related to being hubcentric with positive offset. They’re working out well I just don’t necessarily want the “black hole” look. I changed out the black bolts in the simulated beadlock to stainless to give it just a little pop, but would like to play off the red accents on the Jeep and the red in my tow hooks, etc.

With all that said, KMC sells red center caps for these wheels but do to the modular construction there are a bunch of different configurations possible and I’m having a hard time deciding which one to go with.

Current accents on the Jeep:

How the red center caps with trim ring come from factory with stainless bolts and silver lettering.

Or I can ditch the red all together and go with silver lettering and get chrome lug nuts:

Hope this doesn’t seem too ridiculous. Flame away if you want but would appreciate advice if you have it

Or I could just keep what I have and try to paint the letters red like this pic of the red wheel:

I just couldn’t order the red wheel, too much for me.

Unfortunately, the red letter cap is a custom order at $100 bucks a cap where the spray the lettering with a tinted clearcoat. Just seems a bit excessive.

Thanks. Was trying to tie into the red trim and black lettering of the rubicon decal
